With regards to the crime, not sure wots its called but I believe Murray is a bit of a fiery monster - Munch to his families dismay, he’s been known to punch people squares on the chin at a variety of discos.

Your all wrong, it actually happened in a chip shop. Martin took exception to the owner. He ordered fish and chips and upon biting into the fish found a small syringe, when Martin complained the owner merely laughed in his face and told him not to worry as it was "only a heroin-haddock"....sorry

That's not him, that was a gentleman named Ste Birch who was an ABA champion who was a team mate of his in his amateur gym. Martin is a very nice lad from my dealings with him but got things wrong and has learned his lessons.

Either way I understand that he went to prison 3 times, so hardly a one-off mistake (especially when you consider they don't exactly send people down for their first offence / minor indiscretions these days).

On a positive note, it looks as though he may be a different character these days and is focussed on other things although he is still effectively paying for his previous lifestyle (by not being allowed to box in USA etc.)

There's not a lot any of us can do about our pasts, Martin has apologised for his actions and done what he can to be a positive person and role model. If his past still interfiers with his present then it's a shame. If the US doesn't let people with a criminal past across their borders then I feel the UK should do the same.

The US are very protective of a made up border around the country they call home which is ironic considering what a dangerous and lawless country it is in many regions.

Funny how much 'patriotism' people have for these artificial states and willing to sacrifice life and limb for them.

Australia (for example) - give them a flag, an anthem and settle it with people from ten thousand miles away and they get awfully patriotic and racist against other people who are as alien to that land as they are. (Never mind the Aboriginies).

Some nice Australians, but the day most of them get it around their heads they are just transplanted Brits, Irish, Italians, Greeks, Serbs etc then the better it will be for everyone.
