Paul Smith rematch

Post by Parson Cross »

Pleased that Paul has got this so it's back to Germany again 21/2.
Press conference Tuesday.
Same night as Brooks comeback.
Sky are covering both.

If Brook and Smith are on same night, that suggests PPV. And Sky would be mental to go up against Murray-Golovkin free on C5

I don't necessarily blame Abraham, he just wants to collect the cash ......

Smith on the other hand is trying to kid the public. The fact that he has got a rematch will only reinforce his self-delusion that he actually won the first fight and that he is to all intents and purposes the rightful World champion (a bit like Bellew with Clev and their skewed scouse logic).

I can't believe such a average fighter like paul smith is getting back to back world title shots, his best wins are against very average English title level fighters quigley and glass jawed Dodson, he isn't even a top 5 super middleweight in Britain, he is even the 3rd best super middle in liverpool. Absolute joke this fight getting made again

.... then have a go at Sauerland.
Rematch offered terms agreed.
Why is that Paul Smith's fault ?

Smith did really well in the last fight, but I JUST gave it to AA. I believe if the scores had actually matched the reality this rematch wouldn't be happening.

Still, AA is massively on the slide, so someone is going to pick him off, and it will be someone you don't expect. Will it be Smith? Maybe

That's got to be added to the Bullshit Bingo ticket for the press conference!

Can't argue with that to be fair, I'm well in the camp that he's not world level and doesn't deserve a world title fight (rematch or not) but hes not going to turn it down is he! Good luck to him!

I hope smith gets a lifetime ban for this shocking behaviour. He fought his heart out in the first fight, took it on the chin when the wbo turned down his appeal, and is now going to return to the champs backyard for the rematch. I am appalled. Something has to be done....

Haha tell me about it. What do people expect him to do? Turn it down on the basis he's not world level....?

Decent fight which I'd happily watch, but Sky are mad if they put this on against GGG vs Murray.

Possibly by trying to do the same to Abraham as it is the only way he can win.

I think the rematch will be a lot better,
