Did he leave McCraken? I haven't seen the Abraham fight since it was shown on Sky... My memory has gone as too whether McCraken was there or not.steve689 wrote:I would surprised if he didn't return...i don't think he should have changed trainers though
For me, he shouldn't have left Ronnie Davies. If McCraken has gone also then its not a good sign. Seems to me that he cannot accept criticism and would rather blame anybody else but himself.
Boxers like that annoy me.
Oh yes, think your right. I definately recall the name.steve689 wrote:I think Howard had a guy called Kofi Spencer in his corner against Abraham, i don't remember McCracken being with Eastman that night.
Who was the guy who was in the corner the night Danny got embarresed vs Klitchsko? - wasn't that Spencer aswell? Appologies to Kofi if it wasn't.

Think Taylor would look good vs Eastman to be honest. I have seen a fair amount of Taylor, and the only performances I was dissapointed in him were vs Hopkins. I thought Bernard won them both, even if not on the cards I think he won his rounds bigger and showed Jermain's limitations.
However, Jermain's limitations was when Hopkins was applying speed and throwing combinations. Even at 40 Hopkins has more speed than Howard (as their fight proved). Howard has also been a poor combination puncher.
Taylor would dominate Howard and I think would actually stop him.

I know they haven't always chosen the same pathway, but it would appear that Howard's brother, Gilbert, is no longer with Hennessey. Although Boxrec has Hennessey has his promoter - secondsout.com called Gilbert a new signing for George Carmen Promotions - his last fight was on a George Carmen bill.rhino222 wrote:im not sure about the trainer situation..but mick hennessy told me that howard is having a bit of a time out at the moment !!
There was all kinds of rumours of the like - the Howard was losing patience I think a couple of months before the Hopkins fight. There was some weird press releases going about that he was seeking a new promoter.
I am just wander why has Gilbert (if he has) left Hennessey and will Howard be following suit.

Although I agree Taylor would beat Howard I don't think it's as simple as that. Eastman against Hopkins was a nightmare because they spent the fight waiting for each other. You'd have to predict that Taylor would go for Eastman and show him far less respect than he did Hopkins. Eastman would also be on the backfoot less than Hopkins was and might catch Taylor a few times (with single shots, agree Howard can't throw combos) on the way in. Eastman maybe hits harder than Hopkins as well.Think Taylor would look good vs Eastman to be honest. If Abraham doesn't stop Eastman then i'd be surprised to see Taylor do it but think he would easily outwork Howard for a UD
