Boxing fans with no respect for a boxing champion who also comes over as a friendly guy on this forum and you call yourself a boxing fan?DazDiCanio wrote: You said Eubank Jnr will be a world champion, who's he beat to lead you to that remarkable insight, Curtis?
Records mean nothing, you talk some bollox man, absolute nonsense. You've fought better and got sparked by better, means nothing. Brad has shown all the attributes associated with a top class operator, that's why he gets good press. Now he's with eddie, the hype will be turned up a notch but lets remember, he's been getting plaudits for a very long time. So long as he doesn't take too big a step up, he'll be fine.
Fck me, imagine if you hated the sport.

People aren't immune to criticism because of who they are. I make the point that he's contradicting himself, simple as that really.tobyh5 wrote:Boxing fans with no respect for a boxing champion who also comes over as a friendly guy on this forum and you call yourself a boxing fan?DazDiCanio wrote: You said Eubank Jnr will be a world champion, who's he beat to lead you to that remarkable insight, Curtis?

I get what Curtis is saying, Saunders has beaten a couple of decent fighters, without mixing it with the best at domestic level, plenty think he will go all the way, but it's time he got the fights to prove it. Although including Tyrone Nurse in that list taints it a bit, 30 fights and he's beaten no one, suppose he could be called a known quantity, we now know a stiff jab and decent work rate will be enough to get the better of him, Saunders is well past him by this stage though.DazDiCanio wrote:You said Eubank Jnr will be a world champion, who's he beat to lead you to that remarkable insight, Curtis?curtis wood wrote:Saunders is a very good prospect, but until he fights and beats a known quantity ie myself darren Hamilton Dave Ryan Tyrone nurse Lenny daws or somebody who's what I'd call tried and tested then nobody really knows how good he is, let's see how he comes on, I try not to listen to the rubbish people spout about the next big thing bla bla bla, look at my record, I've dodged nobody, fought the best at lightweight light welter and welter, I turned down Saunders because he was with fish eyes and we have history, now he's with Eddie it's a different story, the fight has been spoken about and if it happens I'll train hard and try my best, no big deal, if he's the real deal he will beat me, if he isn't he won't, I'd prefer Harrison in Scotland if I had the choice, but I'm open to anybody at 140 or 147, if it gets the juices going and the money is good then I'm in, if nothing comes up I'll carry on with the footie management, I'm pretty laid back about it

You don't think he's being avoided, hence why he can't get these fights?? It's not like he didn't offer Woodhouse the fight. Saunders getting to the point where he's forcing the bigger fights to happen, see no problem with that.expe wrote:I get what Curtis is saying, Saunders has beaten a couple of decent fighters, without mixing it with the best at domestic level, plenty think he will go all the way, but it's time he got the fights to prove it. I don't get where CW coming from, not many people around who don't think Brad is going on to be something very good and like I pointed out, he said Eubank will be a world champion and he's beaten nobody of note, so his argument is horse shiit.
