Ormond v Flanagan...who you picking?
Flown under the radar this one but is on the 13th. Could be a good dust up!

Ormond a very underrated domestic boxer, isn't he? Flanagan gets a lot of hype so you're right, all the makings of a terrific contest.
I'm gonna go for Terry, he'll have height/reach and general size advantage over Stephen plus he's a southpaw.
Another good domestic match up though.

I think Flannagan quite handily wide on points or a late stoppage,
Ormonds work rate is brilliant but i dont think he will be fitter than Flannagan or have the power to bother him!

Definitely. Think I agree that Terry wins this one as I think he could be special. Ormond a live underdog though, and if Terry not as good as some think, he could take itDazDiCanio wrote:Ormond a very underrated domestic boxer, isn't he? Flanagan will win this on,Stephen is a very tough boy but I think he will be hit with loads of shot especially to the body

Ormand for me seen Turbo a few times & not as convinced as a lot of people on here are.
Re: Ormond v Flanagan...who you picking?
Ormond to outwork him, if he fights like he did against Derry he'll win the fights, flurries will stop Flanagan from getting anything off, if he can combine the combinations and work rate from that fight with the power he showed against El Ouazghari he takes it on points IMO.

Terry's getting a new opponent according to Franics Warren. Can't see it being anything decent at a weeks notice

Gutted that this is off was really looking forward to it. As somebody said cant see them getting any body else in decent at this short notice. From what ive seen of the card it looks pretty misable now.

Re: Ormond v Flanagan...who you picking?
Any word if Flanagan has an opponent yet, surely someone can step in to fight for his British
Re: Ormond v Flanagan...who you picking?
Will it still be an eliminator style contest. Seemed practically set that the winner of this fight will contest for a world title early next year.

Latest WBO rankings:stujones wrote:Will it still be an eliminator style contest. Seemed practically set that the winner of this fight will contest for a world title early next year.
Champion Terence Crawford
1. Raymundo Beltran
2. Juan Diaz
3. Paulus Moses
4. Anthony Crolla
5. Takahiro Ao
6. Stephen Ormond
7. Petr Petrov
8. Jose Zepeda
9. Terry Flanagan
Crawford looks set to vacate and move up to 10st
Beltran just lost to Crawford
Crolla's fighting for the WBA belt
If everything goes as expected, the title will be vacant and Ormond will be ranked 4. There was talk of the winner fighting Diaz for the vacant title, it's possible that Ormond may now get the shot anyway. Moses shouldn't be a problem, his promoters in Namibia don't have much influence and Ormond would be easier to sell as an opponent for Diaz in America and Warren has a decent working relationship with Bob Arum. Ao might be a bit more difficult to get out of the way, but it could be argued that he's yet to beat a lightweight of any repute and hasn't fought at the weight for 18 months, Ormond could leapfrog him and fight Diaz. Either that happens and Flanagan is left behind, or the rescheduled fight is a final eliminator.

Re: Ormond v Flanagan...who you picking?
Fehintola is on the same bill vs tba, put him in with Flanagan instead of wasting everyone's time digging up bodies so they can get pointless wins against overmatched opposition.
