That's great news, my only concern is whether Chavez will actually train for it and the fight comes off. He is his own man and he seems to switch on and off with regards to boxing. I hope I am wrong though.It would be a great way for Froch to finish his career in style!!

If it can be top of the bill I would imagine it's purely Chavez and his big following that allows it to be, no?

Froch has reached a level now where he'll take a few over. Not Hattonesque but far more than Joe and Amir. The Groves catapulted him onto a totally new level. He has a lot to than the ginger whinger for!

Exactly. Why he would expect RJJ and Hopkins to come to Cardiff god only knows.

Even if they had he would have pulled an injury like he did with Johnson and wanted to do against Lacy.

Give me Hatton going over to the States to fight the best of his generation any day of the week over Calzaghe. He could easily have defended his belt against average fighters, all the time proclaiming he could have beaten them. Instead he lost, but he tried.

There has been little talk about this fight by the main protagonists and I find it really odd, it's an absolute natural for me. Hopkins said he wants to move down and Froch is a draw and the sort of guy Hopkins will be confident of beating. I want to see Hopkins being asked about Froch as an option and vice versa.

The only thing is Vegas, Hopkins isn't really a Vegas fighter any more, and this doesn't seem like a massive Vegas attraction to me.

Aside from Hopkins - Froch has 8-9 equal or better opponents/victories.

Only way Froch makes a Vegas fight is if he gets Chavez. Even GGG or Ward would not make the cut I don't think. They need Hispanic crowd. Froch isn't Hatton, he wont mobilise the same audience. I could be wrong.

I think you'd be surprised by the amount of Brits that would travel to Vegas if it was billed as Froch's final fight and he and Chavez Jr sells out easily in my opinion

And if Chavez Jr has knocked the drink and drugs on the head he'll make a fight of it

Give Degale a shot or retire.

Froch should fight Degale if he still wants to fight. It shouldn't be a farewell/ one for the road type of fight. He either want it or he doesn't.
I think Degale has the capability of winning - however, I was alarmed that George Groves got put away like that, so I'd have to say Froch, but it's no gimme.
