I'd be amazed if either of them would risk fighting each other at this point. As someone else just said, I'd be a bit surprised if Fury fought anyone in February with the way the division has been going. If Fury does fight, he'll likely stick to the Joey Abel level and fight someone like D. Wilson.

Could not you have few more options. Wach, Pianeta, Price all been mentioned.

Unrealistic. Have not you heard about Joshuas second phase. No way they put him with a top contender at this early stage.

I'd like to see vs Browne, but Fury is a coward who so far in his career has managed to climb the rankings without fighting a big HW who can punch- so we can rule Browne out.

Fury would make mincemeat of Browne, and I'm not a fan of Fury at all.

Good point. I should have put "other" as a category in lieu of a lot more names.

So, if you have another name or 2 go on list them. Cornish or whatever his name is could be another name.

Ustinov looks best on that list. Beating the crap out of Briggs wouldn't be bad either I think. I still think someone like Mariusz Wach would be the ideal opponent for Fury because:
1) He fights somebody with height which would get him ready for Klitschko
2) Wach can sell tickets because of the large Polish community in the UK.

David Price would obviously be a dream fight in a financial aspect, but I don't know if both camps would risk a fight with each other. Money would be there no doubt though.

What he means is, sometime in a distant future, somewhere in a distant galaxy.

Shame on anyone who voted for Briggs. Shannon Briggs of 1998 would be a big threat to Tyson Fury with his fast hands and good power, but he has always had poor defense and his stamina is now worse than ever. Today's version would get a Vitali-style, drawn-out beatdown due to Fury's relative lack of knockout power, likely landing him back in hospital. Just because a guy looks in good shape and has a loud mouth doesn't mean he deserves the fight more than better credentialed fighters.

Chagaev has appeal because he holds the WBA regular title, though he's another short opponent and wouldn't help Fury prepare for Wlad.

Browne has appeal because he's a big, strong, unbeaten heavyweight.

Ustinov has appeal because he's an even bigger heavyweight and is probably not as big a hitter as Browne - height and reach wise he'd be good preparation for fighting Wlad.

Welliver is in horrible shape and has just been stopped by Browne, so he holds zero appeal as an opponent.

I'd go for Ustinov out of those options. He's around Klitschko's height, his offensive is based largely on straight punches as is the case with Wlad, he probably won't lay down but isn't a major threat, and Fury was criticized for pulling out of their fight that was scheduled a few months ago and may be able to put that to rest by fighting him in February.

I think Ustinov and Chagaev are the only good options on this poll. Due to size, I think Ustinov is the better option. He presents a fairly unpredictable risk, though, since not even Tyson can be sure that his style matches-up safely with someone of Ustinov's size.

Browne is an untalented fraud compared to Chisora and Cunningham, and especially compared to Fury himself.

According to sources, that the opponent will be a man who is rated by all the organisations or most of them.

Far as I know of, top ten through fifteen, Browne fits the bill. But I doubt this will be who will be in the ring with Fury.
