Khan IFL interview-this is why people dont like him

First of all Khan as a fighter, everything he has achieved (imo probs more than brook ever will), his willingness to fight the best can not be questioned. However interviews like this do him no favours it inhances his reputation as an absolute A-hole and is his own biggest fan, "I am the 1st brit to to headline a show in Vegas and be the A side nobody including Hatton or Hamed have ever done this"
-Apparently according to Khan Hamed was the B side against Barrera, definitely not how I remember it
-According to Khan Hatton was the B side against Mayweather. Maybe he has a point but Mayweather was the one coming out of retirement, Hatton was the champ, the active fighter and brought over 25,000 fans as well as probs making just as much as mayweather if not more with british ppv.
-Khan obviously does not count the fights in Vegas against Malignaggi, Castillo and Urango where Hatton was 100% the "A" side.
-Calzaghe headlined against Hopkins also, they were both an equal draw.

No Amir you clearly were not the 1st brit to headline vegas, this isnt uncharted territory, its been done by better fighters in bigger fights. Kugan Cassius must have been biting his tongue, he was hattons bodyguard for the fights mentioned!

Malignaggi, Castillo and Urango were all big shows. So was Hamed v Barrera where Barrera was most definitely the "B" side.

Hatton-Malignaggi was at the MGM Grand and Castillo was at Thomas & Mack. Huge difference in ticket prices between Hatton-Malignaggi and Khan-Alexander too, still not expecting many in the arena on Saturday, a lot of tickets will be given away to try and make the venue look full I suspect.

Mayweather was the A side for US PPV, but when it came to ticket sales and PPV over here, I'd argue that Hatton was the A side. I'm sure I read that when PPV money over here was taken into account, Hatton made more than Mayweather for that fight. If Hatton was the B side, it wasn't by much.

Yeah, but he was fighting Floyd - everyone is the B side fighting Floyd, ever since the DLH fight.

He's fighting bloody Alexander - the 'not so' great.

Yes, he is indeed a mong! One of the thickest A-list fighters of recent years. He makes Mayweather look like Isaac Newton.

He's a muppet no doubt but he's a boxer not a politician. Obviously needs a new PR person/PR training but at this stage I accept his muppetness and enjoy and respect his exploits in the ring.

Hatton, Lewis & Hamed were all A sides in Vegas and the venue itself isn't the big show, it's the buzz around the fight, sell out shows and superstars.

The above all had that in spades, Khan hasn't had it yet and i can't see this one being that way either.

His willingness to fight the best is very questionable unless your talking Mayweather.

I like khan as a fighter, he is always in exciting fights but as a person he is a but of twonk.

He thinks he is in line to fight floyd but why? What has he done as a welterweight? Nothing. He should have fought Alexander last Christmas when it would have meant something. But didn't and has gone backwards in this year. If he started fighting people instead of talking about why he should get mayweather then he might have got him.

Look at maidana, he fights briber who was meant to batter him but won and got te shot at mayweather. He earnt it. Khan has talked and that's ot

He is deluded, always has been but he's just saying what he thinks he needs to. He has a strange view of his actual standing within the sport. It's almost as if he just wipes the defeats from his record, along with the struggles against old, blown up fighters!

Got to say though, I'm a fan of him in the ring, and that's what matters. He is a fighter, to his detriment and massively flawed so it's always an engaging contest with him involved.

It was after the Hatton fight that Mayweather went into retirement. It was Mayweathers WBC title that was on the line and I'm sure Floyd was #1 pound for pound at the time of the fight. Ricky 100% was the B fighter.

I think Hatton v Mayweather isn't the best example to be honest. Mayweather was considered the better boxer and had the title as Hatton was stepping up but Hatton brought the money, fans and the buzz to it.

This was a double A side card, it had everything which was due to the 2 fighters involved. The no1 in the world at Lww & the no1 at WW as well as P4P. Hatton was up in those rankings too.

Still don't get why people hate on Khan so much, the kid is clearly not all that bright and says things without really thinking. He's a boxer who gets hit in the head for a living and probably hasn't had the best education. He is trying his best to hype himself up and sell himself to the world, that's what he's supposed to do. He's not out there getting busted for beating on women or taking performance enhancing drugs, he's just talking crap and making himself look a bit silly. Save the hate for the real scumbags...

No he came out of retirment to fight ricky after he called him out after the castillo fight when he basically said there was more action in that fight than in floyds entire career.

Hate is far too strong a word to be used here. People are just calling him up on what he's said and highlighting the holes in his career that he likes to dismiss

Semantics.... Khan gets a disproportionate amount of criticism for his actions. There are boxers that say and do far worse who get less criticism.

I'm not having that at all check hook. Look at the recent build up to froch v groves 1 &2. Froch got a huge amount of grief from many people on here.

Tony bellew & paul smith take a huge amount of stick for the things they say too. Other fighters do too but the difference is that not all of what they say gets out to the public. What khan says does which is what he wants in order to try and get the biggest fight out there.

When he says he's not flash like mayweather then wears £25k shorts he deserves to be pulled up.
