Andy Lee A live underdog?
Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
Lee had better get busier and start making Korobov expend more energy.
Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
4-1 MK
Korobov is a nice looking fighter. Not spectacular just solid.

Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
If it goes the same way, Korobov will be robbed like Herrera. He needs to start winning more clearly.
Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
See Ya Korobov. Learn how to hold.
Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
To the thread starter - hope you bet it. I'll never understand why guys don't take a knee when they're hurt. Fighters aren't born with brains. If they were they wouldnt be fighters.

Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
Now we will never See Golovkin UNIFY.. LEE WILL NEVER FIGHT GGG NEXT
pfffffff
pfffffff
Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
Korobov had just landed some good shots before that. Like Jackson he got too wild and caught with the right hook...
Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
GGG would absolutely annihilate Lee.
Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
Now Haymon will send Quillin to get the belt back.
Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
No, Korobov wasn't wild enough. He needs a new trainer who will teach him how to fight professionally.crusader wrote:Korobov had just landed some good shots before that. Like Jackson he got too wild and caught with the right hook...

Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
great win. feel it was stopped early... lost a lot of money. oh well. congratulations to Lee
Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
Korobov is a neat boxer for the most part, but in exchanges I think he gets a bit wild and can swing too much, and I think the shots that caught him against Edwards and Lee came when he was doing that.ikorolev wrote:No, Korobov wasn't wild enough. Korobov's chin appears to be too soft for profi.

Props to OP
Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
Landed his best punch of the fight and then caught the KO blow when he tried to follow it up.crusader wrote:Korobov is a neat boxer for the most part, but in exchanges I think he gets a bit wild and can swing too much, and I think the shots that caught him against Edwards and Lee came when he was doing that.ikorolev wrote:No, Korobov wasn't wild enough. Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
Korobov should have taken a knee. Once again, he needs another trainer.

Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
Lee definitely rose to the occasion tonight.
And I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but I think Lee's KO6 victory over the unbeaten favorite in Korabov is one of the "feel good" stories of the year. I mean, following his KO by 7 results against Brian Vera & JCC Jr., he was pretty much written off by most folks. And now, he's got a world title strap around his waist & he's put himself in the forefront for a big money unification bout with GGG to take place probably sometime in the spring following GGG's inevitable KO over Martin Murray. So, good for him!

Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
Jesus you would think fighters would know by now that Lee has one weapon (right hook) and navigate around that. Again, a guy walks wildly into a right hook again after leading a fight vs Lee.
Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
Well, Vera and JCCJ were taking Lees hooks and stopped him, while Korobov's chin didn't stand that hook.
Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
Makes sense for JCC. He probably came in at like 200 lbs.ikorolev wrote:Well, Vera and JCCJ were taking Lees hooks and stopped him, while Korobov's chin didn't stand that hook.
As soon as Korobov got hit I said hold, take a knee, or lose. Bayless has the quickest trigger in the sport. You stand and take extra shots with him reffing and the stoppage is as good as assured....unless the guy taking the shots is a superstar with some $ behind him. Otherwise his trigger is mad quick.

Re: Andy Lee A live underdog?
What does all the 'Lee's a bum, he's no chance etc' guys gotta say for themselves now? With that right hook, he's always a chance
