I'd check with Eddie Hearn. He imports most of his heavy bags around that weight from Europe and South America.

That 108£ bag looks good, although I might for the smaller "jumbo bag", what is the minimum I would need to hang one of those up?.

Sugar Ray's Boxing has some good stuff, bags and brackets etc and you can contact them for advice.

I've got the 70kg ringside Black and Tan leather, good bag very solid for body shots.

I had a bag full of leather off cuts (rather than the usual cloth off cuts) it weigh in excess of 200lbs and I used it to practise bodyshots (the bag ended up with a huge indentation in each side) I've since had both rotator cuffs repaired and I am now on the waiting list for a full wrist fusion.
Years of using a bag that weight will wreck your joints mate, I'd advise against it.

Even in 10 rounder maintaining a high punch rate, you're going to punch your opponent 100 - 200 times at BEST. If you do 3 or 4 ten round sessions a week on the heavy bag you're going to land 1000 - 2000 punches on it, that takes it's toll on the joints.
You're better off getting a mate 150lbs plus to wear a big bodyshield a couple of times a week and bashing him around.
IF you must use a bag, may I suggest something like a Powair or LiquiShock bag (100lbs or less) ?

Sorry to hear that. Hope you make a good recovery. Did you use wraps and 16oz gloves? Also, I'm presuming you're a heavyweight to have been using such a big bag?Fantastic Giants wrote:I had a bag full of leather off cuts (rather than the usual cloth off cuts) it weigh in excess of 200lbs and I used it to practise bodyshots (the bag ended up with a huge indentation in each side) I've since had both rotator cuffs repaired and I am now on the waiting list for a full wrist fusion.

My right shoulder is 85% what it was, my left probably 70% ish, time will tell with the wrist but thanks for the kind wordsBenelio wrote:Sorry to hear that. Hope you make a good recovery. Did you use wraps and 16oz gloves? Also, I'm presuming you're a heavyweight to have been using such a big bag?
I used to wear pads over my knuckles, big training wraps BUT stupidly only standard bag gloves or 10oz fight gloves. I was a cruiser/heavy, stuck between weights really my best weight was 14st 7lbs - 14st 10lbs, BUT when I was active the cruiser limit was 13st 8lbs.
