In hindsight, Porter was overhyped, strong, decent power, but he makes a lot of basic mistakes and anyone that can match him physically is capable of beating him. Blowing Malignaggi away caused many, myself included, to overrate him a bit.
Alexander is a level above Brook IMO, yes he lost to Porter, but he's beaten Witter, Urango, Kotelnik, Maidana, Matthyse, Bailey and Soto Karass. Of all the names on Brook's record, only Porter compares to that list of fighters.[/quote]
If you look at those results they do look impressive but against Kotelnik,
Maidana and Matthyse he was lucky to get those decisions, look at how Khan beat Kotelnik it puts that win into perspective especially. he bottled it when the going got tough against Bradley, at least when Brook was gassing against Jones he showed some heart and desire (yes its a different level of opponent but its still a valid point).

I don't know what I was thinking to be honest, I remember it clearly now today, it was Maidana's first fight at 147 but all credit to Deon for that win.
