I seen this article and I wonder if any of yinz know if this is true? I heard Sammy Vasquez is fighting in Pittsburgh Feb 20th, then I seen this.
Vasquez is my favorite fighter. The kid is an American hero. He did 2 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and he's a knock out artist. I don't see
none of them welters surviving this kids body attack. If this Tyson split is true, then what the hell happens to Sammy and the Russian beast
middleweight Khytrov. They also got that flat top kid Lubin too. I love that kid too. Them 2 and Sammy are search and destroy fighters.
Aint no one in the sport more fun to watch than Sammy and that Russian. Those kids are balls to the wall every fight.
If Iron Mike Promotions fell apart, I want to know where and how
I can see these 3 again. Any of yinz know anything? Is the Pittsburgh Feb show on under a different promoter?

Is Iron Mike Promotions done?
Re: Is Iron Mike Promotions done?
For what it worth. I enjoyed Iron Mike Promotions shows. They put on great fights and they got a great little stable of fighters.
If they went bankrupt, I aint happy about it. The shows Roy Jones put on in Pittsburgh sucked ass. The ones he put on in
WV were despicable. I been going to fights since the 1950s and I aint seen garbage nowhere like them Roy Jones and Mike
Acri cards down at Mountaineer. Finally we got a good promoter in Tyson that invests in Sammy Vasquez, now I'm hearing
it all fell apart. Say it aint so!!!! This will suck for Pittsburgh boxing fans. If Roy Jones or Mike Acri stage a comeback, I aint
buying unless Vasquez is the headliner!

Sammy, right now, is the product of good matchmaking. I can list about 50 of those welters that could survive that body attack. He is a prospect worth watching, though. As far as your question, It all depends on who is under what contract. Gary Jonas had a company before Iron Mike Promotions and it's not clear who was signed where. I don't think you have to worry about long layoffs, it's on neither parties best interest for these kids to sit if they have a promotional dispute.

Thanks for the info. I don't do twitter and I have trouble with these computers. I appreciate the heads up but I gotta disagree. That kid 21-0 James Stevenson Vasquez KO'd was tough. All these kids Sammy been facing have
real good records. Maybe the matchmaking was done right, but I don't think a guy like Brandon Rios would last 6 rounds with Vasquez. I think Vasquez takes out Bradley and Alexander too. Aint nothing special
bout neither of them cats.
