Let me explain for the simple minded folk.
I feel 70% to Floyd is fair.I think Manny deserves no more than 30% due to his ppv numbers.

Floyd wants the split 65-35 in his favor according to Arum.Floyd is being more than fair
to Manny with this split.

Not so hard to understand

Arum says that the fight drew more than 400,000 PPV buys. Won't give an exact number.
Blamed it, as usual on the locale. His and Manny's choice.
Added that Ali-Foreman and the Thrilla in Manila had poor closed-circuit numbers because they were both held outside the U.S.

Not so sure about that.
The U.S. media actually heavily covered those two promotions, even in a pre-internet and cable era.
Everyone was aware of those fights. Media coverage saturated those bouts in the days before they happened.

Don't think anyone cared about Pac vs. Algieri, hence the dismal figure.

I'm certain that if Pac-Mayweather took place in Macau, the PPV numbers would approach 3 million.

We have all pretty much figured out your boxing "knowledge" begins and ends with GGG and Kovalev.

Why is it so hard for people to just admit that FLOYD MAYWEATHER is the draw? Instead, there are a million and one excuses for his popularity and this one trumps them all in stupidity because it has been repeated so many times that jackasses think it's true. Floyd is doing UNDENIABLE numbers. At this point, you only make yourself look foolish by trying to diminish his popularity by mentioning his opponent's ethnicity.

And even if Mayweather does select Latinos to pump up interest and PPV numbers----so what?

Mayweather's a businessman and recognizes the monetary importance of luring the Latino fan base. It's not a sin.
And it's not as if Latino fighters are inept. Some of the best in the business are Latino, so selecting them as opponents doesn't constitute a "gimmee."
