Hughie Fury vs Andriy Rudenko
Hughie Fury vs Andriy Rudenko
On the GGG vs Murray bill 21st Feb 2015, seems like quite a tough bit of matchmaking considering Hughie hasn't fought in a while, good on Team Fury
Re: Hughie Fury vs Andriy Rudenko
Best of luck to him. Good fight. Redenko will be wanting to get on the winning track.
Re: Hughie Fury vs Andriy Rudenko
Yep. While Rudenko hasn't really beaten anyone of note, he looked decent enough against Browne, showed a good chin and is likely to there for the long haul.
Re: Hughie Fury vs Andriy Rudenko
Yes, a step up for Fury but if Browne beat him, then don't think there's much to worry about we will see!
Re: Hughie Fury vs Andriy Rudenko
They know all about Browne, if he is handling Browne in the gym they will be confident

I don't think Rudenko is anything special, he simply exposed how mediocre Browne is.

This is a tough fight for Hughie after a long time out. I am still not convinced he has had long enough to recover from his illness if that is the case then a long fight against a very durable Rudenko could be a problem.
Re: Hughie Fury vs Andriy Rudenko
They wouldn't take it if they thought he would lose especially this early in his career!
Re: Hughie Fury vs Andriy Rudenko
Good test for Hughie. For me Rudenko didn't lost against Browne.
Re: Hughie Fury vs Andriy Rudenko
Like Eubank and Bill Jo I suppose. The issue with Hughie is not his ability but his health/fitness and strength I have said he has been rushed from the beginning and so far I have been proved right no reason to change my opinion until its proven erroneous.Rexob wrote:They wouldn't take it if they thought he would lose especially this early in his career!
Re: Hughie Fury vs Andriy Rudenko
looking at their records, they are pretty similar in terms of people they've fought, Rudenko has fought more people but I wouldn't say they were especially high calibre opponents for him.
I'll say Fury should win this fight, he's been more active in the last two years, he's younger and hungrier to succeed and Rudenko is coming off the first big loss in his career so it may have shaken his confidence somewhat.

Good match up,I also saw the Browne fight and thought it was very competitive.
Rudenko can hold a shot so this should be a good benchmark for Hughie.

Re: Hughie Fury vs Andriy Rudenko
I thought the scores were a bit harsh on Rudenko in the Browne fight, this is a dangerous fight for Hughie and fair play to him for taking it,seeing as he's only a baby for a HW he could be forgiven for taking his time to grow into a man but he's in with a capable opponent
I think we might have a similar situation to the first Tyson/Chisora fight where Hughie will box to a decision win, showing great maturity
On the other hand Rudenko could KO him

This bill is on Channel 5, I take it?
Pity, as I've got a week booked in Cardiff that weekend and may be too busy to watch. Will deffo tape this one and watch it on my return.

Even so Browne is pretty much a novice tbf biggish puncher but painful to watch!
