The winner of Stiverne vs Wilder will not be the clear No. 2 in the division.

If Wilder wins its unlikely we will see Wlad vs Wilder anytime soon...

This is because Wlad has just signed a three fight deal with HBO (Jennings will be his 2nd) and Wilder is contracted to Haymon/Showtime. Haymon does not have his fighters fight on HBO, period!!!
Wilder isn't going to win so don't worry about that :TU: Stiverne is going to knock him spark out.
Wlad v Stiverne for all the belts, undisputed champ vs the clear number 2. Should be a good sell, especially if Stiverne does get the explosive knockout against Wilder.

Beating Wilder doesn't make someone the clear No. 2.

Povetkin and Fury would both still have stronger claims to being No. 2 than Stiverne.

Beating Wilder (especially if it without difficulty) will certainly not make Stiverne a clear number 2!

It'll just mean he has KOd a guy who knocked out a collection of overweight club fighters & washed up journeymen.

No one thought Tony Thompson was the undisputed #2 after he KOd David Price and they definitely shouldn't with regard to Stiverne when IMO he KOs Wilder.

I believe Wlad has until the end of May to agree a fight date with Fury or it goes to purse bids! If it goes to purse bids and he chooses to fight Stiverne (if he is indeed victorious) instead, he will have to vacate his WBO title, so it will not be for all four belts, unless Tyson is offered step aside money and he accepts!

I have a feeling that Haye v Fury will take place BEFORE Fury challenges for a 'world' title . .

Wlad will not be stripped of any belts.

He is the man that brings the $$$ to the division,so the WBO will give him plenty of leeway if he decides to chase unification. also looking at 160 & 175, the ABC's were actually being slightly more honest than usual when talking about unifying divisions more often.... and heavyweight is a division with a small enough talent pool it is worth them doing it.

(so long as the WBA lose the "regular and interim champ !!)

Fury would have done no harm by fighting Hughies opponent, now it's likely that Hughie will have the harder fight!

We now know.
Frank had called a press conference to announce the opponent then said it would be official within 48 hours, hence the farcical side of it.
Anyway, let's move on...

Hammer?? It will be a good warm up fight for Fury.I do not see Hammer winning
But I do see him going 12 rounds.
A wide decision win for Fury.

Relatively short, not much pop and he's been knocked out clean in the past. Ideal opponent (no sarcasm).

Six feet two inches tall (probably really only 6' and a bit) and almost 18 stone with extremely unimpressive power. Ooh. This should be a real test for the 6' 9" Fury. And cynics say this is the worst era in heavyweight boxing history. Hah! Wake me when it's over.

What do you want? Fury to go to death and back, just before he gets the chance to go and conquer the world? GET REAL :TU:

Still waiting for a test for Fury. Frustrating.

Hammer poses no problem. As mentioned above, short, been stopped before and has no power ( Airich went the full 10 rounds with him! )

Still, now he is in line for a title shot they will be even more cautious than usual.
