warren show @ york hall on 17th Jan

Post by MacTavish »

Just got an alert from ticketmaster for this - yet it's not listed on boxrec - any thoughts in terms of who's on?

He alluded to this in a post show interview after the bjs / Eubank show last week. Basically I think everyone who doesn't get out on the big February 02 arena show goes on this. I recall fwank saying it was to keep BN subscribers happy. I'd guess at Mitchell smith, skeete, baker, Romaeo and kean. I think buglioni is injured.

I think Smith and Kean will be on the O2 show with the number of tickets they sell. A lot of Frank's London fighters didn't get out at the Excel, Gary Corcoran, Louis Adolphe, Kirk Garvey, lads like that. Then possibly Skeete topping the bill. They mentioned Flanagan fighting in January last night, so maybe he will be on it, don't think it will be the Ormond fight though, Lee winning means that's more likely to be in Dublin IMO, unless Ormond gets the vacant title fight which would likely be on the same bill as Lee-Saunders.

Steve Lillis seemed to think Flannagan was out on this date, maybe the rearranged Flannagan/Ormond fight?

Surely this fight is bigger than York Hall.

Totally agree with you mate, I know gary personally and if he can get a run of fights under his belt I believe he can mix it with anyone in the uk and behond, I've seen first hand what he can do, very strong lad.

Well it was originally set for Hillsborough leisure centre??

Think if its just that as main fight and mostly 4-8 round prospect v journeyman like the show saturday was originally then York Hall would be fine. Especially as neither are from anywhere near there so won't be shifting loads of tickets.

Cheers. There's not exactly much domestic action lined up on BN, I love the five or six hour marathon evening shows, I hope we don't have to wait until the end of next month before the next.

I think they're doing okay at the moment, this show, plus the three others already announced and Lee's fight will make it 5 domestic shows in the first 3 months of the year and January's usually a quiet month domestically. Add in the possibility of Frampton's fight and it's a good start to the year for BN.
