I'm gonna go with Omar Narvaez.

Wladamir is the only obvious choice.

Omar Narvaez?!?

Do you really believe Narvaez will win his next fight?

The fight is in Japan (not Argentina). His opponent Naoya "Monster" Inoue (7-0. 6 KO's) is only 21 years of age, yet he already holds a 6th round KO victory over a tough Adrian "The Confessor" Hernandez on his resume.

Guys .... I hate to bum you out. But the 39 year old Narvaez is not leaving the "Land of Rising Sun" with the WBO belt.

Why so interested in older fighters OP? You've made loads of similar threads and seem fond of guys who started late like Mansour and Washington.

If the Mundine/Bundrage fight happens I'm going to say Mundine will be the next 40-year-old boxer holding a world title. He'll be 40 in May.

To this point I believe boxing has had a total of 10 boxers who held a major world title at age 40 or older.

Bob Fitzsimmons(light-heavy)
Archie Moore(light-heavy)
George Foreman(heavyweight)
Bernard Hopkins(middle and light-heavy)
Thulani Malinga(super-middle)
Giacobbe Fragomeni(cruiser, defeated by Erdei shortly after turning 40)
Vitali Klitschko(heavy)
Sam Soliman(middle and oldest first time title winner)
Cornelius Bundrage(junior middle)
Guillermo Jones(cruiser)

Well then.
Scratch Narvaez from the list of possibly being a title holder at age 40. :box:

Yeah, I guess it's possible.
I mean he did kinda look like a guy with big wins in his future and not at all like an aged vet cashing out.
Maybe go back to 112 and beat Gonzalez?? :D

Narvaez is still good enough to pick-up a belt if he wants to, but who knows if he wants to. He could still be the next 40+ titlist, but the odds against him went up.
