Just flicked on to the Queensberry Rules, which I haven't read in a while, and see it is now a sub directory of a wider sports blog. Looking through the list of contributors and there are a few that sound like characters from Toast of London.

Google newspaper archive or, if I know what I'm looking for, one of the other free databases found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia: ... r_archives. I use a lot of sub only places, but if you're a member of a public library you can use their online resources too. A lot of sites boast online "historians" who aren;t worth two drops of piss in the ocean. They just BoxRec it.
