Who have Murray or BJS beaten to warrant them being ahead of a World champion in their division.

Lee picked up a nice win and a nice belt, but he was getting widely outpointed before the stoppage and Korobov is not a proven world level opponent.

Would ya go way ya clown!!! There was nothing in the Korobov fight until the fight ended, and boy did it end.

BJS scraped a points win over a novice that never had a 12 rounder before and he is ahead of a world champion in Lee! Give over will ya!!! Lol

I've got Bellew about as high is as reasonable, but he shouldn't really be too much lower as he has a pretty solid record.

Walsh looked good in his last fight, but hasn't stepped above domestic level yet and his career has been pretty stagnant for the last four years or so. He looks capable of stepping up to European level or higher, but he hasn't done it yet.

Galahad's opposition hasn't been very good recently and he keeps dropping titles instead of defending them. I'm getting pretty bored of him, I don't think he deserves to be any higher at the moment. He has talent, but he's got to fight better opposition to prove how good he is.

Murray arguably beat Martinez and Sturm who are a lot more credible than Korobov.

Saunders has beaten quite a few undfeated fighters recently and I wouldn't be surprised if one or more of them were able to beat Korobov if they fought.

Beating Korobov was good, but it doesn't make Lee a legitimate world level fighter or respectable world title holder. With all due respect to him he is a paper champion.

The only justification could be that one of them has a belt.

Because on the Devon Alexander performance, Khan is the better fighter.
As you state, on level of opposition Khan has the better resume (yes, despite the losses).
And although I had my doubts before and do rate Kell very highly, I'm fairly confident Khan beats Kell by a fairly wide UD unless Kell gets lucky.

I think this is reasonable, bit surprised Lee was not at least on this list in December however,

I would agree, I wouldn't have Bellew too much lower. But he absolutely has to drop 1 place.
No way should he be above 2 time world champion Jamie McDonnell

Korobov is the best win on either BJS & Lee's combined records but i do feel BJS probably has a little more depth to his resume so far, he's been on a good run of opponents so i won't shout to hard about him being above for now.

Can someone tell me why titles matter in these debates? Why care about them at all rather than just who someone's beaten and how they've performed?

It was mentioned that McDonnell is a two-time world champion, but who did he beat to win his titles and are they better than Issac Chilemba or even a blown up Cleverly (not too bothered about where Bellew and McDonnell place; just making a point)? Doesn't using titles as evidence that someone should be ranked more highly than someone else also help legitimize the alphabet trinkets around today?

I agree. I can see the cases for each guy being slightly above the other.

Having a p4p list with more than 5 fighters is madness. It's already subjective in a list of 5, let alone 30.

Groves way too high.

Stopped twice, looked awful twice since, never held a world belt.

Should be ranked 31.

McDonnell won a world title, then didn't defend it and was stripped. The belt he claims to hold isn't a world title and he didn't beat anyone decent to 'win' it or 'defend' it.

Sturminster clearly beat Martin that night in Germany

amir should also be ahead of kell

Your card means nothing compared to the official cards.

Yet, you have Paul Smith low on the rankings despite him getting robbed in Germany. Why isn't he in the top 10 based on your logic then.

Degale aboves Groves?

Not having that...not yet. Groves has fought at the higher level and already has a win against Degale.
