They should cover HBO boxing.

Showtime was very poor in 2014 (Garcia-Salka, Stevenson-Sukhotsky, etc).

TSN needs to bring back it's boxing show with Russ Anber and to cover more boxing like it used to do now that it has lost TV rights to NHL Hockey.

To be honest the Russ Anber show wasn't really that good and the fightnetwork is terrible, just another nail in the coffin as far as we are concerned.
Who knows by the time they renew the contract in 5 years time we maybe on the cusp of Mayweather v Pacquiao.
Doubt we will miss anything if the truth is told.
With boxing politics in complete disarray, corruption all over the place I think the sport is in the crapper anyways, apart from the odd decent fight here and there it's basically a joke isn't it.

I remember when virtually all the HBO Championship Boxing and Boxing After Dark cards were shown live on TSN

they have a gizillion tsn channels now so no reason why not at least bring back the live boxing (used to show all the HBO B.A.D. fights live...

I really enjoyed in this corner with russ anber... he might be too busy now as a trainer but also a world wide reknown cutman

Always thought it was one of the best boxing weekly review show made... some for the mainstream and a few segments for the hardcore... fightnetwork is indeed terrible... and once you've seen their material, it's almost the same thing over and over... Might not be enough hardcore boxing and MMA fans but they could at least buy more live events from europe, asia & S-america for not much $$

Yep

then they started to put the champ boxing on PPV for 30$ but still had the B.A.D. events when curling or nascar wasn't on

I don't see the fight on any of the TSN schedules. What's your source?

Looks like I will canceling my superchannel subscription. this really sucks!!
Can't wait til we get a Showtime Canada, after all there is a HBO Canada. If TSN shows the fight it will probably be delayed an hour or 2 and all the comercials will be fun

Super Channel really is a disapointment boxing wise... prior to show showtime boxing, they were getting broadway boxing live events and other cards... now nada... i really hope they replace it by a new boxing serie at least

It's a guess.
The bottom line as I see it for a Canadian boxer fighting for the Heavyweight Championship of the World in Las Vegas should be covered.

Canada just turned into a third world country in my mind with this news. So you can't watch Showtime fights at all in Canada (well outside of streaming which we all know no one here has ever done)? Thats mfing insane to me. Granted Showtime hasn't had the greatest year in 2014, but they still got some exceptional talent there & this basically means Canadians won't be able to see the best boxer on the planet unless they order the PPV (which I'd assume you guys would still have but idk how that works there so maybe not).
