Which British Fighters need promoting better

Maybe, but his fight with GGG was agreed before Lee won his title (I think?). As I said, for a fighter whose style (and personality) can be quite dour, he's done alright.

Aye, but that kind of typifies the situation. I think GGG is a career suicide job really and now there seems to be real good domestic interest in the middleweight division. Not just talent that has been there, but with Eubank and Saunders some good interest.

Might have been a good idea to either look at a more beatable champion (Jermain Taylor anybody) or simply have some tuneups and get some cracking domestic showdowns on.

I generally think that if you have aspirations of being "world class" you should take the toughest tests - there is no shame in losing to a fighter like GGG. The likes of BJS and Eubank will still be out there should Murray get beaten.

In an ideal situation this is great and I applaud it and I really admire Murray's self-belief. He went to Germany untested and a big underdog, really believed he could do it - same in Argentina.

But as George Foreman once said, most fighters would want to make as much money as they can for as little risk and then get out.

If Murray get annihilated vs GGG then Eubank / Saunders will not be there. Same with Macklin - no one is talking of Lee taking on Macklin in a voluntary now before BJS. One performance made that this fight went from one of the biggests in Ireland to a very hard sell overnight. If Murray loses in a couple of one sided rounds then it will be hard to rebuild him domestically as he will pose a big test for little reward.
