Most sickening punch
Re: Most sickening punch
Can anyone remember Ensley Bingham? He hit Mark McCreath that hard he seemed to land across the ring; he hit Anthony Ivory with a smashing uppercut - real power
Re: Most sickening punch

Lewis hit Grant with some sickeing shots in the first round, Grant showed a lot of heart to stay with it. The uppercut he finished him with in the second was also a sickeing shot, albiet an illegal blow.

Julian Jackson v Bomber Graham!
Re: Most sickening punch
As a 14 yr old amateur just starting out I had nightmares about the state of Carl crooks hooter after Irishman Eamon Macauley had dropped him and rearranged his features with a sweet, short right hand in the '85(I think) Aba final... Ouch ![[icon_knockout.gif] :KO:](./images/smilies/icon_knockout.gif)

Two of the best knockouts I've filmed in the past year.

He gets some stick on here from time to time but Tony Bellew hit Jon Lewis Dickinson with a monster left hook as an amateur.

I was about 6 rows from the ring for that one - absolutely awesome punch. It was on the same bill that Kovalev smashed Cleverly & Stephen Smith knocked Buckland spark out with an uppercut, definitely got value for money that nighthandsofstone wrote:Or Maccarinelli knocking out McKenzie on his feetBoxerbeetle wrote:Ha, was just about to mention Bellew's finishing shot against Mackintosh.palooka wrote:He gets some stick on here from time to time but Tony Bellew hit Jon Lewis Dickinson with a monster left hook as an amateur.

If we are going old school, we might as well have Henry Cooper's 13th round knockout punch of Joe Erskine which let Erksine drapped over the bottom rope like a discarded ragdoll deserves an honourable mention in here.
Maybe also Julian Jackson's stiffner of Herol Graham needs to be mentioned too.

A lot of the "sickening" KO's have come from incompetent refereeing and corner work imo such as when Duran beat up Moore.
Re: Most sickening punch
Arguello's punch to Mancini's adam's apple always makes me go "urrghh".
Re: Most sickening punch
Golota's 3-punch "body" combo on Bowe
Re: Most sickening punch
Lebedev's final shot on a defenseless RJJ was horrible. Smoger is generally a great ref, but he dropped a massive one that night.
Re: Most sickening punch
Roy Jones Jnr hit Virgil Hill with a horrible body punch, I think it broke ribs - Hill was a tough man and an excellent boxer but he was really hurt with that punch.
