Yes We Can wrote:Frampton has 2 very good wins over Martinez, and if he comes through Avolos thats another good name on his resume, again he's in a position where he needs to add top level depth and there is only 1 man for definite he is clearly inferior to in that division.
If you are referring to Rigondeaux, he was floored twice in his most recent fight a fortnight ago. It makes you wonder if his age is catching up with him... The guy is 34, and I don't think that he has too many years left in him.

Yes We Can wrote:Joshua is the chosen one, and is being vastly over thought of with not enough evidence to support it right now. He has a chance of becoming a premier heavyweight, but his matchmaking needs to be bang on the money and i don't see him getting good enough wins for at least 2-3 years to be able to stake a claim at being the best British fighter.
Agreed. There is too much hype about AJ at the moment... People have short memories but it was the same hype train that David Price had a couple of years back...

Joshua is more highly regarded than Price was. He achieved much more in his amateur career than either David or Fury did for that matter, even if you ignore the Olympics. Joshua beat Cammarelle earlier in the worlds and remember what the Italian did to Price?

Still early days though obviously! They hype train is only going to get worse

Do you think she would beat all the others in professional or amateur bouts were she the same size? She's very good but women's boxing has a much shallower talent pool than men's boxing does and hence I don't think her dominance suggests that she is better than those listed in the poll.

No, I just like to be awkward, but for her dominance and consistency you cant help but be impressed.
Would have to go with Froch now but Brook in 6 months (assuming he comes back as good as before).

For about the last three years it was Froch, one of the best British fighters ever in my opinion , but I think Froch is aging and not as good as he once was at the peak of his all of fame career.
So for the moment with what limited knowledge I have of British boxing, I would say Kell Brook is the best based on his performance against Porter followed by the more exciting but not as good Amir Kahn.

Froch aside, Khan is the best British boxer.

A few years back, I got in to a massive argument with a crowd of Americans on this site, saying that Khan was the best Light Welterweight in the world (the other champions were Bradley & Alexander) - and he beat Alexander recently. People keep underestimating how good Khan is.
yes. a silver medal, world champion beat a number of top fighters, yet people keep saying he's rubbish or overrated, he's a very good fighter in exciting fights, tough little fuc ker, will fight anyone, don't understand what people want from boxers today.
if your not sugar ray your not worth a wank. very overrated, by who, don't hear anybody say he's the best fighter who ever put gloves on.

If they fight this year, my moneys on Degale.

I believe Degale will go on to surprise a lot of people on this thread.
I believe DeGale beats Froch too. Nevertheless I voted for Froch. Because I voted for resume not for potential.

My point exactly. Guys were saying the same thing a few years ago about Alexander. I hope that we do see a Khan vs Bradley fight.
