Pacquia is not a big welterweight
Mayweather is not a big welterweight
Juan Manuel Marquez is not a big welterweight
Yet everyone expects them to continue to move up.We ask no more of GGG than we do of other
p4p fighters.
Nobody expects Pac or Marquez to move up. Mayweather is #1 p4p and he calls himself TBE, so people expect him to prove that.
Several people on here have asked for Pac and Marquez to move up again.
All three have moved up enough.
GGG moving up 1 damned division is not asking much from your P4P #1

Also say Ward moves up to 175, and lets say he beats Kovalev.......who does he fight?? Stevensen is damn near 40 and is hiding behind his title. The action is at 168, the division is loaded.
As it was mentioned in other threads, Ward has nobody to fight at SMW, as he can't fight Haymon fighters which include Chavez, Dirrells and Bika. At LHW, he could fight Pascal, Kovalev, Beterbiev, Mekhontsev, etc.

Floyd turned pro as a young man when his body was still developing. His moves up in weight were natural. He is a good size welter, and his reach is actually longer than Golovkin's. Golovkin would certainly move to 154 for a PPV fight. Otherwise, what is a point of struggling with extra weight drain ?

so ur saying Ward should move to LH to fight Pascal who been beat by Froch who was dominated by Ward and then got schooled against a 48 yr old. then other 2 fighters have 14 pro fight combined. Ward would be destroyed by fans/media for fight a 7-0 fighter. Maybe in a few yrs cuz both look like monsters.

Dont think i didnt noticed u throwing russian fighters out there. u name 4 dudes and 3 of them are dudes u whack off too

Russian/English/German are his main options now, as many of best Americans, Canadians and Mexicans are signed with Haymon.

Froch vs Pascal fight was very competitive. Besides, styles make fights, so Froch beating Pascal doesn't do much for Ward. Pascal looked pretty good against Hopkins too.

Who is 7-0 ? Chudinov is 12-0, and he is an interim WBA champion. I suspect Ward's first opponent will be much worse than Fedor.

You named 4 guys......Kovalev,Pascal,Beterbiev and Egor. Egor and Beterbiev are 7-0 so you can't truly believe that Andre Ward should move up in weight and fight guys that are 7-0. Now mention yet another Russion in Chudivov is friggin 12-0. Dude guys like you are the reason all of us forum dwellers get into arguments. You got this Hail Russia take over the world attitude, you're hard headed and rude. Anyways now you're mentioning Chudinov who is 12-0. Do you really think he has a chance of beating Ward or are you just name dropping all your Russian heros.

An uninteresting and undeserving opponent but I'm not bothered by the fight considering that Saunders-Lee, which I see as roughly a 50/50 bout involving a solid challenger, seems very likely to occur immediately after. I'd love it if champions always fought top opponents, but I'm fine with these types of defenses as long good opponents are consistently fought too (see Marco Huck's resume for an example).

I mentioned Beterbiev and Mekhontsev as good prospects for future. In couple years, they will have around 15-20 fights. Speaking about Beterbiev, he already has a pretty good puncher's chance against Ward. Chudinov is too raw to beat Ward at this time, but you can't completely exclude his puncher's chance either. As I said, Ward's first opponent will likely be much worse than Chudinov.
