What has happened to Leonard Ellerbe?

Post by Freedom2013 »

Where is he?

He's reportedly not answering his phone calls from the media.

I wonder if he's okay?

It must be a long one...

Ellerbe has been out of sight since September of last year.

He was very dedicated and loyal. He always had Floyd's back.

Did see this on his twitter 3 days ago. Might be a cryptic response to the question at hand. He still does list Mayweather Promotions CEO on his twitter so he is either still employed or being weird about his loss of a job.

That doesn't make you a good CEO. I remember Floyd saying something about Ellerbe making decisions without consulting him. Maybe he got to big for his britches. Hopefully he still has some type of role in the Mayweather camp.

Money is tighter now with TMT after losing millions in 3 of the last 4 fights. Haymon became expendable. Or got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

Funny how Floyd lectured us about loyalty and then he goes and fires the cutman and Ellerbe.

Yea basically this. People forgot Leonard has been CEO of Mayweather Promotions for awhile without having many job duties of a typical Promotion CEO. He finally got handed the ball to be a real CEO & it sounds like he dropped the sh!t outta that ball. Those guys don't tend to win much favor with the people who've held a position for that person for years & there are two courses of action for Floyd, look like an idiot for keeping the person on for even longer despite not being capable of doing the job to your liking or get rid of their ass.

Since Floyd dropped him I fully expect him to be homeless within a month.

From what I come to understand; Floyd Sr is not fond of Leonard at all and felt that Floyd was overpaying him and at one point it was mentioned in the media that they were splitting but then Ellerbe ending up being allowed to stay.

The other thing I heard is that once Floyd aligned himself with Warren Buffett that he was instructed to restructure his company and that included getting rid of a lot of hanger-ons and cutting salaries of those around him so that he could use that extra monies for investments that Buffett was setting him up for in order to make him a Billionaire like he is doing with LeBron which is why he is also doing things different, even with himself.

I think it is as Reggie stated that Ellerbe is being forced into the real role of a CEO in the blackground, waayyy in the blackground and not outfront as much as he used to be.

Paying him anything at all is overpaying him. What does he even do? He's not a lawyer or a trainer, nor does he have any real qualifications to be a business manager in charge of millions of dollars in assets. Dude is completely useless. He was a personal trainer when Floyd met him in the 90s and hired him to be his professional bitch.

I'm with you on this, I'm not sure exactly what it is he was/is getting paid to do and I know Sr is just looking after his son's best interests. It appears from all of the recent photos I've seen and all the stuff on Floyd's FB and Twitter pages that he no longer has this fleet of entourage members hanging around him while he spends loads of cash on them.

Some changes have taken place at TMT and I'm quite certain it has something to do with the restructuring recommended by Buffett and the cleaning of house by his father. Ellerbe is just getting paid to be a Cheerleader as far as I'm concerned.

Leonard Ellerbe sighting.

Apparently he was at the NSAC meeting today that was mostly focused on damn near every UFC guy pissing dirty this year. One of the other things on their agenda today was Lanell Bellows owing almost $8k in back child support & a DA trying to get Lanell suspended til it was paid off. Leonard acting on behalf of Mayweather Promotions agreed to take care of the almost $8k back child support within 5 business days.

He is probably taking more of a backseat role with the company.

Got tired of lying for Floyd and Haymon and doing their dirty work. Then got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. My guess.
