allegedly, Sky and Jim Watt

Post by stujones »

Bit of a random couple of questions, but has anyone been watching "allegedly Presents", they seem to be showing alot of classic bouts from old Sky TV PPV's - e.g. getting a few Mickey Cantwell world title tilts.

I'm enjoying the fights, but just wondering if people know the answer to the question.

Who has the rights to these, FW or Sky? If it is FW do you think it would be possible to show it "uncut". At the moment we seem to be getting a lot of repeats.

Jim Watts co-commentary with Reg Gutteridge seems to be edited out, any reason why?

I'd imagine after a certain amount of years the content would revert back to the promoter

Sky would probably have a contract that gives them rights for 10 years or so

The one's without Jim Watt are the overseas broadcasts, Reg did those and when he retired I think it was Nicky Piper and Spencer Oliver who took over, they were used in Australia and elsewhere
