yeah... but...

No, seriously, I understand wot you are saying, and yes, "some gatos" will buy the Alverez v Cotto fight if they do indeed go for that date... (Cinco de Mayo is actually on Martes that week*...)
but the actuality of it is that it will "hurt" the Alverez v Cotto "buys" WAY more than the other way around... but, that's just my opinion... I think also that the Brit's and the Abu Dabi's are bat crap crazy about Khan right now and Floyd should strike whilst that iron is hot... and stoking the fire on the Pacquiao debate a bit more... I like Saul, he's a good kid, and Cotto appears to have caught Martinez after a three day drunk or something, but anyone that tells/advises them they can go head to head with a Mayweather bout @MGM is guilty of malpractice / professional incompetence... again... my opinions only... and that and $2.48 will get you a "tall skinny blonde" @starbucks... sans tip...
*which ever day "Cinco de Mayo" falls on, Chili's will still offer "frozen margarita specials"...

Well yea both sides battling each other is gonna have some affect on the other, BUT I disagree with the bolded. And the reason being is expectations. Saul vs Miguel is considered a success if they do lets say 400k+ buys, Floyd fights aren't considered success unless they surpass 1M+ buys. Plus the general opinion is Miguel vs Saul is a more competitive fight then Floyd vs Amir so they will be getting more of the cats who just wanna see the best fight.
I think Saul gives no f#cks about the head to head angle even if Floyd & Manny fought. He's a ballsy ginger mfer. I do think Oscar talks him down if the fight is Floyd vs Manny, but I suspect we'll be saying a game of chicken over that date if its not Floyd vs Manny for better or worse for whoever.
Well... I think that Canelo does gives "some" fucks about the head2head as he's doing a bit of promotions himself... so... if he's got a business "side" then... hopefully he see's that... anyways, Canelo vs Cotto is a good fight and one I'd hate to have to decide which to watch. I think that Mayweather vs Khan is a bit more interesting to watch. Floyd is a damn good "boxer" and is the "man to beat" at the moment, so everyone brings their "A" gameplan, even if they aren't the "A" side... and one more time for the guys up in the cheap seats...
the Brit's and the Abu Dabi's are bat crap crazy about Khan right now and Floyd should strike whilst that iron is hot...
Like I said earlier, I like Canelo, his fight with Angulo was my FOTY, as it left me with the strongest memory just for the shear brutality. Canelo coulda left the ring, gone out and pulled one of the sinks off of the Men's bathroom wall, and brought it back into the ring and hit El Perro with it, and that fornicator still would not have gone down... Angulo tough 'hombre no doubt. Anyways, watched the weigh in with Cotto vs Martinez, and Martinez could barely get his shoes on afterwards. "Something" wasn't right, overtrained, got a bad shrimp @Applebee's... dunno... "something"... So... again a Canelo vs Cotto is a good fight, I just would rather see Mayweather vs Khan, then possibly... Floyd v Kell,
now there is an interesting fight...
