Better, but there's a few that don't qualify. Fighters must be retired for ten years to be nominated. That means that only fighters who's final bout was in 1995 or earlier can be listed.

Larry Holmes, Mike Tyson, Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Tommy Hearns, and George Foreman are all ineligible at this time.

You can give me six names to replace those if you want. Also, please put them in alphabetical order, it will make it easier to tally all of the ballots that way. Thanks again, I look forward to your final ballot.

The rules are located on this thread:

ferroz- Chavez, Duran, and Ray Leonard are ineligible at this time. Only fighters retired for at least ten years are eligible. Leonard's last fight was in '97, Duran's in '01. Chavez was still fighting in '05. They're all eventually going to get into our Hall of Fame, but we'll get to them later.

You can pick three other nominees to fill their spaces, just go ahead and edit your list.

Of the old time fighters Bob Fitzsimmons, George Dixon, Terry McGovern, Joe Gans, "Barbados" Joe Walcott, George "Kid" Lavigne, "Mysterious" Billy Smith, John L. Sulliavn, James J. Corbett, Kid McCoy, Tommy Ryan, Jimmy Barry, "Nonpareil" Jack Dempsey, Stanley Ketchel, Jack Johnson, Sam Langford and Jim Jeffries should all be first ballot Hall of Famers and I'm sure I've missed a few others!

10-15 of the 25 will be pretty identical on most people's lists and there will be few surprises. It will get interesting when a certain number of fighters have already been inducted.

Those are all worthy nominees, but if you want to submit a ballot, see if you can come up with 25, and post it as a list so it will be easy to tabulate. You don't have to rank them, alphabetical order is actually better.

Definitely. This gets really interesting after the first couple of rounds. That's when the debates get really good.

Please check the rules before posting everyone.

decagon- you named several ineligible fighters.

Roberto Duran, Pernell Whitaker, Ray Leonard, and Roy Jones are all inelgible. Only fighters who have been retired for at least ten years are eligible, their last fight has to be in 1995 or earlier to qualify.

Also, there is no need to rank, everyone counts the same, whether you consider them #1 or #25.

You can pick four different qualified fighters to replace those. Just go ahead and edit your post.

The link to the rules thread is posted at the top of this thread.
