Kell Brook

Post by Batley18 »

So Kell is back in action in March reportedly. Given his recent accident, and being in one of the most fearsome divisions around at the moment, it is interesting to see who they put him against. My gut feeling is that they will play it very safe, but I guess he deserves that - not only because of having to go through rehabilitation, but also because he traveled to the US and took the title back home.

I would like to see him in a fight with a number of top fighters in the division, but perhaps see it more likely that he will face someone like Bundu, Ion, or Ali perhaps. Who do you think he will be up against?

Dan Ion won a final eliminator for the IBF recently so they might try to get the mandatory out of the way.
It would also make a tune up ready for the Khan fight that I'm sure will happen in the summer just before Ramadan

Ion makes sense to me given that he's the mandatory and doesn't seem to pose much of a threat.

Marques has a serious knee injury and may not ever fight again

You would think Khan would jump at the opportunity to fight Brook his first fight back. Then again, I guess he is still waiting for Floyd's reply to his mandatory deadline - a couple days left I think.

Besides that, Brook is apparently too disrespectful for Khan to fight. (according to Khan) :OhYes:

kahn provoked kell during an intrerview, were both were sitting down and amir said, that he schooled kell insparring and kell answered to amir, that he didnt knew what amir was talking about that he has never been schooled in sparring by anybody.

kahn should end his mayweather dreams, floyd already said he doesnt want the fight and amir thinks he can force floyd with an deadline.
