I agree with everything else except for that part. Arum is not intelligent at all. He has a stable of fighters who people like so they accept Bob and his BS because he's part of the package. Arum can easily be made to look like a fool in any interview yet no one ever does. He probably has ties to crime or something, because I find it incredibly hard to believe that so few people go to town on such an easy target.

Maybe Bob gots criminal ties idk. I think all (or many of them) the major promoters in the US have been raided by the FBI at one time or another thats how sketchy that business tends to be.

But I don't think Bob is as easily tripped up during interviews. I mean all promoter interviews are fluffish so people being all pet the kitty with Bob is standard of all promoters interviews. And I contend Koncz is undercover working for Bob to influence Manny today as we speak & that debt issue you bring up is one of the reasons why I believe that. The most notable thing that will tell you this eventually is once Manny is running the Philippines Koncz will be working some sweet job for TR directly. You can also tell how good Bob is at his job that no one talks about that thing. I find it really intriguing that (by Michael Koncz’ own admission) there’s supposed to be a gag agreement in place, but the media is constantly reporting updates from Team Pacquiao for the contract negotiations that are currently taking place.

We’ve heard nothing from Mayweather, Ellerbe, Haymon et al, but for some reason, Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao, Bob Arum etc. have reported that everything has been agreed to, but Floyd just needs to sign the contract.

I have this sneaky suspicion that Team Pacquiao (mainly Bob Arum) are putting a spin on things to suggest that they’ve agreed to all of Floyd’s demands, but we don’t actually know that this is the case. Nor do we know how long Mayweather has been given to mull the contract over or if all stipulations have been discussed or the deadline for him to sign the contract.

Meanwhile, we know that Manny claims to have agreed terms, but do we know for definite that he’s actually signed anything? The press releases have been carefully-worded and appear to exclude this information.

Do we also know if HBO & Showtime have come to an agreement about the joint-PPV venture, because I’ve not read a damn thing to confirm this?

My gut feeling is that this fight doesn’t take place and that Team Pacquiao have either misinformed the media or have put such a biased spin on things, to the point that the information they’ve supplied only contains a miniscule element of truth.

I really do hope I’m mistaken and that everything has already agreed to, which just needs the ink from Floyd’s signature to dry on the contract, before training preparations commence, but unfortunately for me, when I want to be wrong… I’m usually right!

Sam Watson has said its basically a done deal iirc. And we all know Sam is Al Haymon in physical form so I'm actually thinking it amazingly is basically a done deal. He's definitely acknowledged sh!t is happening right now.

Floyd doesn't want the fight. But he pretended he does. If he truly wanted the fight he'd be far more aggressive and outspoken about it. He's been silent. Most likely scheming his next escape hatch out of the fight of the century.
