I read that he had a horrible hand injury, one of the very worst apparently.

Exciting style, can punch a bit and is a southpaw.

Maybe they should make Brian Rose vs Jamie Cox ? that would be an interesting match-up.

Before he done his hand,Jamie could really bang.he decked me in the second and I still wasn't sure where I was after the final bell.after going the distance in that one. My confidence in taking a shot ensured I'd box anybody.think that was my second fight and without that experience I'd never have had the 100. Cheers for nearly taking my head off son!!

According to the Swindon Advertiser Jamie will be campaigning at middleweight, so not Brian Rose, but do expect him to be calling out Chris Eubank Jnr, John Ryder or maybe even Billy Joe Saunders if he gets a couple of wins under his belt. It is slightly concerning how quickly he seems to be out-growing the divisions though, he made his pro debut only a few years ago at 144lbs and said at the time he could still make light-welterweight. If he is going to settle in the middleweight division I just hope it's all lean muscle and not extra pounds due to inactivity.

Jamie was one of the most exciting amateurs I have seen. At 19 he had won the ABAs, Four Nations and struck Commonwealth Gold in Australia. When he turned pro I was convince he would become a world champion, but terrible hand injuries and brushes with the law which led to him to being suspended by the board have taken it's toll. I just hope at 28 he can finally realise his potential because it would be a massive waste of talent if the boy has to retire because of bad hands.

I would deffo give him a durable opponent next time out to see if the hands hold up.
Jamie has bad hands and thats no good in boxing,He needs to think about later life.

But if the hands are 100% healed then WAR COX,i like his style.

if Cox is up at Middleweight now could it be him Vs Langford? I know theyre looking to step Langford up for this and is his first 10 rounds.

Warren has been known to put in two of his own fighters recentlly. Be a good match that, Ryan Aston has also been added to this card. He had moved down to light middle but he could be an opponent for either.

Brian once called Jamie out on sky sports but when he knew Jamies hand was smashed. Jamies hand now thanks to Mike Hayton is like a buffaloes head so if Brian still fancies it Jamie will take it in a heartbeat.

3 hand surgeons told Jamie he would never fight again he was also told it was the worst injury that two of them had ever seen. He broke that hand in the third round, had he not have broken it Obodai Sai would not have finished that fight IMO. As for the low blows when you're in the situation Jamie was in you do what you have to do body and spuds are a lot softer than a Ghanians head. Jamie is back & for them that like him they'll have plenty to smile about & for them that don't they'll have plenty to be disappointed about either way Jamie will be smiling

Sai was knocked out in the 1st round in America in his last fight, I think his fight with Jamie Cox, was more down to the hand injury to Cox, then Sai's performance, in a rematch Cox would stop him, people who know Jamie Cox are aware what a good fighter he is, I don't think the public have seen what he can really do yet, if his hands are fully healed, I would expect him to win more titles.

So you agree he really lost to Sai and employed some dirty tactics during the fight then yeah?

I agree -and would also say that in any competitive situation we naturally push the boundaries with what we can get away with in order to win (particularly in times where we think we are falling behind).

Cox clearly pushed the boundaries in that fight and got away with a lot - that is not his fault and to be honest I can't blame him, however the issue was the impartiality of the referee and also the judges.
