Anyway to change the weight divisions back???

Post by PokerRob »

Boxrec have changed the names of what the weight divisions previously were.

For example; Light Middlewight has changed to Super Welterweight and Light Welterweight to Super Lightweight...

I hate when they are called this.

Thanks

It is my understanding that the WBC and WBA have thankfully agreed to have the same name for these divisions. The IBF agreeing to this change is pending. Therefore the change.

THEY HAS ALWAYS BEEN CALLED SUPER WELTER WHICH WAS THE SAME AS JUNIOR MIDDLE AND SO ON WEIGHT WERE ALWAYS 148 TO 154 LB. ALWAYS DEPENDING WHICH RANKING BODY USED THESE NAMES BUT ALWAYS THE WEIGHTS WERE THE SAME NO MATTER WHAT YOU CALLED THEM.
THAT GOES FOR ALL WEIGHT DIVISIONS.
JUNIOR ALWAYS EQUALED SUPER IN ALL DIVISIONS.

The WBC and WBA already had the same division names before, except for 105 lbs., while IBF and WBO use the "other" names... If IBF will start using same names as WBC and WBA, THEN, it will be a step forwards... but until now, nothing has changed, except for the WBC calling its strawweight division now minimumweight...
