Wilder will rid us of the Klitchcko boredom era

Post by kidbazooka1 »

Mark my words a new era has begun and its the wilder era.

The guy is still a very young HW and will only improve.

Wlad can outclass top contenders and champions for years and not get much credit from some people, but Wilder decisions Stiverne and now he's unbeatable (as you said in another thread) I also highly doubt that Wlad would've been any less dominant against Stiverne, but I suspect that you wouldn't have made threads lauding Wlad if he had beaten him.

The fight was okay to watch, but what was so entertaining about it? For the most part it was Stiverne plodding forward while Wilder cautiously jabbed and moved.

did he call out wlad?

Post by kaanrsln41 »

I missed the post-fight interviews, did wilder or anyone from his team mention wlad's name?

No Showtime made sure they didn't say any word that even begins with a "K" :D

Just like how they made sure to mention Abner Mares as the "best fight for Santa Cruz". Haymon probably cringed when Leo listed Rigo after Mares in his list of fights he wants.

are you fkn serious ????

wilder beat the crap out of stivernes face ... and ate several of stivernes best shots on the jaw....while outboxing the champ and jabbing stivernes head to mush.

left hooks--big rights---brutal jab...great jaw...great ring generalship... did you watch this fight ??????

Wlad wont know how to CLINCH and HUG Deonaty !!!! possible that Clinchko retires before facing the wbc champ .

Maybe, but I'll doubt it until I see it.

eactly, he would put some weight on his shoulder, yet not lose his athleticsm. he will knock out opponents, now everybody is gonne say "klitschko also kos people" , yeah well he does, but the rounds following the ko are as boring as watching darts game. wilder comes into the ring and from that moment on there is action and than mostly a great finish. and he proved the douberts wrong. he has great condition, lasted 12 rounds against a quality opponent and looked still in tremendous shape afterwards and he can take a punch.

wilder would win against wlad. only problem are boxing politics. because the sport is so damn illegal, that people, refs get paid out or talked to, simply influenced. wlad will buy a ref, who let him do whatever he wants, crabbing, holding, clinching, illegal holding. i mean....wlad is a loser. either he gets kod when he fights a strong or he get dq'd if the refs would do their job according to the rules, which says, excessive holding is not allowed.

I think Wilder will only get better, and think he has improved a lot over the last couple of years. He is probably the only guy that could beat Wlad right now, but needs to clean up a couple things tactically. His jab won't be as effective vs a guy as big as Wlad, and Wlad has weapons that Stiverne does not.

All that being said, I am doubting that if Wilder lands some big shots on Wlad, he won't be able to take them like Stiverne did. Man, what a chin Stiverne has! I was amazed he took those bombs like he did. I seriously thought Wilder would punch himself out and Stiverne would come back. Great fight. Stiverne's head is probably the size of a beach ball today.

That's Wilder's first 12 rounder, he'll be better next time, but he doesn't beat Klitscko yet for me.

I see a fight with Klitschko going the same way as the Haye fight, i.e. a technically better, more experienced Wlad grinding out another win with a caution first approach, always waiting for opportunities for the KO rather than forcing the issue, and using good footwork to avoid any of Wilder's punches.

I think :o

A fight with Wilder might be a good way to end Wlad's career, retire fighting a dangerous opponent and take the full set of titles. Not much else out there for him really.

I don't know. Considering Wilder was pretty boring in this fight, even with the amount of luck he'd need to be champ, he's already losing the exciting, Mr KO tag.
