If Wilder fights Povetkin in his first defense he will lose.

Agree, but looks like it'll be Jennings.

Haymon will protect Wilder and he will almost certainly have a relatively long title reign, but even though I see a guy with talent, power and athleticism, he has boat load of stylistic flaws and currently appears moderately vulnerable!
yeah keep him away from wlad until wlad is ready to retire, but that is the big fight eventually

Never in a million years would that fight happen. Expect someone much easier...but it will still be Wilder's second best opponent regardless.

Big congrats to Wilder! We FINALLY know where he stands in relation to a higher tier of Heavyweights. Now I want to see him against an A level guy :bag:

King wants him to fight Mike Tyson right after he fights Larry Holmes.

Wilder might jump promoters.

If Wilder won, why is Boxrec.com showing that Wilder is now 32-1-0 in their heavyweight standings?!?

I'm curious to who is an A level guy at heavyweight besides Wlad if Stiverne isn't A level?

Impressive performance from Wilder. He showed chin, composure and lot of boxing skills. Lets hope we will see the unification later this year.

i forgot braeland is training wilder. that pretty much explains how he fought today.
he's coming along and maybe in a year or two he could develop into a really good
champion

Stiverne is a B level heavy, as are most of the top ten. Povetkin, Haye, possibly Jennings, possibly Pulev, possibly Fury could be considered A level I guess. I wasn't really assigning a grade level so to speak, Wlad is so clearly number one you might as well say he's the only A and the next closest guy is a C. I'm just saying I'd like to see Wilder fight one of the guys listed above. Or even Mariusz Wach if he can keep himself out of prison.

Wilder is tough to match if his handlers want him to keep the belt. They'll have to trawl the jailhouses or something. Putting him in with any of the well known europeans won't end happily for Wilder.

I think wilder beats fury. His power seems overrated though.

I mean he hurt Stiverne in like 6 different rds...........u aint knocking every dude out.

Stiverne keeps a high guard and Deontay is pretty predictable with his punches....1-2 towards the top of the head,

Hopefully Fury is man enough to fight Wilder next. He will fall hard, imo.
