The Brown Bomber and The Bronze Bomber

Sixty five years separate from when The Brown Bomber Joe Louis last fought for the Heavyweight title against Ezzard Charles in 1950 and Deontay Wilders victory at the weekend. Both are Alabama boys. It is interesting that the modern day 'monster' 6Ft 7" Wilder weighed in only one pound above the legendary Louis all those years ago. Amazing

Wilders weight does seem light considering his size at 15st 6lb. His legs are very skinny for a heavyweight.

Hmm could be interesting if Wilder turns out to be the Thomas Hearns of Heavyweights. They share a similar chassis on a different scale. Thomas was a beanpole that slapped at you as if he had Helicopter blades.
