Out of the guys you listed im not sure that anyone causes that much of an issue for Floyd. To me someone like Andrade could give a few problems for Floyd because he's a tall southpaw with some offensive ability. I like lara, but his style is too defensive minded to be the guy I would choose if I only had one option. Having said that, I recognize that Andrade has been flirting with going up to 160 so this isn't really an option.

Amir Khan, now that Virgil Hunter has finally convinced him that he isn't Julian Jackson & that he is more of a boxer.

Clearly it would be Kell Brook, although I did give some thot to Marquez.

The results so far read as I would have suspected.
Speed and workrate from pacquiao or Khan would be the things that would pose Floyd most problems.
Unless he's on the slide badly, I still fancy Floyd to find a way to win against either man, but those 2 are the only ones I'd give a realistic shot of beating Floyd.

The rest of those names would be long odds underdogs IMHO.
i suppose Thurman and Garcia (if he carries the power to WW) would have a decent punchers chance.

It is supposed to say Lara but that stupid auto-correct function is driving me nuts.

I don't agree with Lara, technically he is very good, but against the master technician it wouldn't be enough. Would prefer to see Demetrius Andrade against him at Light Middle. 147 it has to be Khan or Pac Man. I went Amir as I think he is hitting his peak at the moment, and I think that fight has more chance of happening than the one against Floyd.

Did someone mention Marquez seriously? :OhYes:

Lara and Andrade at 154, GGG at 160, and Pacquiao at 147.

At 38, there may be more out there than you think. Father time....

The sad part is that I don't think that FMJ fights anyone on the list before he retires except Manny. If that fight happens then I see them fighting multiple times against each other. Floyd wants no part of some of these young cats like Andrade or even Khan. I do see him possibly fighting Thurman though. I think Thurman will lose very soon. He's not elite.

Its funny that none picked Danny Garcia although he knock the fck out Amir Khan. Thats what a year with Al can do to your reputation.

If you asked me the question back in 2009-10 my first two answers straight off the bat would have been two Light-Middleweights in the shape of Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams. Williams with his height, southpaw stance and workrate. Martinez with his low quick hands and general awkwardness catching Mayweather from all sorts of angles.

Now the real standouts are both Keith Thurman and Erislandy Lara. Both Southpaws but Lara is a fleet footed counter puncher who would force Mayweather to lead. Thurman with his size, power and desire to make a splash would also give Mayweather a very rough night at least.

I'd actually pick Bradley . Once he lands that overhand forehead Mayweather won't be able to stop running

Stop discussing the likely outcome of a fight between the biggest name in thr sport, who only rehydrates to 148lbs that earns more than 32 times the amount earned by the 173lb GGG!

It's a bizarre notion to believe that such a fight could happen!
Wladimir Klitschko. Yep that's who can beat Floyd.
