Kovalev vs Pascal

Post by jonnyyorkshu »

Any one else looking forward to Kovalev vs Pascal?

I think its going to be a cracking fight,Kovalev has the power, skill and size but Pascal is tough with decent skills and a good beard.

I don't normally predict but i have a feeling pascal is gonna win and stop Kovalev before the championship rounds
No doubt I will get stopped if im wrong hahahaha :bag: :box:

I just hope Kovalev wins so he can secure a fight with Stevenson and knock him out.

I favor Kovalev but I think Pascal will be dangerous in spots with his mix of speed and power.

Great match up but I predict a snoozer not too disimilar with Kovalev's fight with Hopkins

Kovalev better not be too aggressive. Pascal is explosive as f*ck

Can't see Pascal causing the upset here but he's tough. I
Still Kovalev will stop him.

Pascal hasn't done that ever against a world-class opponent - maybe Branco more than five years ago?
Think Kov will win a wide UD pretty comfortably, after a few feeling-out rounds.

I'd go along with that orbtastic.

If fights were 8 rounds, he would be a monster.

He had Hopkins down and stopped Dawson - he does have power/strength/chin.... it's the only stamina that seems to desert him.

That's the only achilles heel for me with regards Kovalev. He has been stung before during exchanges.

When? Caparrelo stepped on his foot and Kovalev lost balance. He did not look hurt at all. Alleged Darnell Boon KD few have seen so we dont know what really happened.

Hang on, isn't this the wrong Haymon-affiliated Canadian?

Pascal as Orbtastic said is great for six rounds or so, but he's always been a musclebound dude who
fades. Kovalev will keep it tight until the snap's gone from JP & then begin to paste him--Pascal has a great chin but I can see him taxed until a late TKO or corner intervention here. He might go the distance but if he does he won't look pretty afterwards. However, there's always a chance Pascal just might land the right hand, so probably worth staying up for.

He didn't stop Dawson, but I agree your sentiment about him. He's durable and has one of the better mixes of speed and power in the sport, but his stamina and the sparse workrate that accompanies it hold him back significantly.

I keep seeing Pascal asking for drug testing against Kovalev.

Possible spanner in the works and the fight won't happen?
