This haymon spike tv series

Post by jockpunk »

Looks like haymon has a series on spike as well as nbc. First card looks solid:

Berto-Josesito Lopez
Porter-Robert Garcia

Not amazing matchups but still pretty good for free TV. They are going to put friday night fights out of business.

Al Haymon is not f#cking around apparently.

Hadn't realized the date was a Friday. Wonder who's gonna be announcing these shows & how regular they will be.

Surprised NBC allowed this. Spike TV is a Viacom network, I believe.

This card is better than most HBO and Showtime cards. Let's hope that there are no problems and this card takes place.

It sounds like NBC is getting the cherrier part of the deal/fights so they probably don't care all that much. Plus Al is a f#cking gangsta.

Its so weird how people like Kathy duva and others said that it would be nearly impossible to make this happen on nbc. But then not only does he make it happen there.... But then this spike tv thing comes out, and its like damn, Al's playing chess while these other cats playing checkers.

Im seriously considering taking showtime off of my cable plan. I mean what will be the point. Oscar has 2 fighters, one of which I believe just signed a deal with Hbo (canelo)

I hope the quality of the recently announced Haymon cards is reflective of what's to come in the long run.

Wait... What?
Berto is shot to bits, Lopez is fringe world class
Garcia is fringe world class and Porter looked clueless last time out...
Great that it's on free TV but hardly a card worth writing home about...

Maybe better than Premium channels under card but that's about it...
