Does Murray have ANY chance v GGG?

I think this is going to destroy Martin's career due to his apparent durability. I felt the same about Geale, only Geale fell a lot earlier than most had predicted and in doing so avoided taking too much career shortening damage.

I can't see any way whatsoever of Martin winning. I don't think he has the skills to outbox GGG, or the punch to hurt him. The only conceivable way of winning would be for him to outwork GGG, but again I don't see any chance of it.

For those who think Martin has a chance, what sort of gameplan do you think he should have coming into this fight? The type of fighter I would give most chance of beating GGG would be a big puncher, or somebody with fast hands and great feet who can fight on the backfoot all night.

Anyone else think Murray will come out with the high guard, virtually throw nothing, then get stopped around the 3rd? Unless Golovkin wants to put a bit of a show on and beat Martin up. Could be painful to watch.

He always looks like a Supermiddleweight come fight night to me.

I doubt Golovkin will have faced anyone physically as big framed as Murray to date and think this one might surprise a few people and go the distance.

Not really sure how Murray can win though unless GGG punches himself out and is spent in the last few rounds.

I suppose that's a small possibility.

Murray is undergoing immense amount of training in a 12-week Training camp and the hardest of his career, he will be in the best shape of his career in his prime and will give Golovkin some trouble. For me none at middleweight besides Golovkin can beat Murray, at least not easy.

Golovkin will stop him in the later rounds I believe is a safe prediction, but for sure Murray will look good

Mate just a cheeky £20 a just think MM is very underestimate seen clips of his training and he looks very very sharp GGG has been managed and matched very spot on come on Murray bring it home mate

I'd give Murray about as much chance as anyone at 160 of beating Golovkin,a very small chance but probably more than most,Martin's proved before traveling doesn't faze him and that's a major hurdle that a lot of good fighters struggle to get passed

Murray has previous for struggling against lesser opposition then rising to the occasion when stepping up a level, he struggled to look good last time out against Spada but I'll assume that was Dominico's spoiling tactics

My worry for Martin is his best tactics play right into Gennady's hands,he's never gonna outbox GGG,nor will he KO him so his best bet for me is to get tore in,get close and rough him up,don't let Golovkin get into a rythym,outwork him then maybe Murray nicks a decision

Murray's style is tailor-made for GGG, he'll come out with his usual earmuffs & get absolutely destroyed to the body. Murray may well be GGG's toughest opponent on paper, but his style could actually make for Golovkin's easiest fight for years.

Was not impressed by Martin last time out tbh....Spada has been around for yonks and I thought Martin made a bit meal out of beating a guy was not exactly stellar in his prime. Perhaps it was a case of not giving GGG, who was ringside in Monaco, too much to look at and the ref was also very poor in getting Spada to behave himself and box rather than butt and shove like a Billy Goat.

But there's no doubting that Martin is a properly strong boy at middleweight, an experienced operator and I thought the way he went down to Argentina and gave Martinez a proper battle suggests that he's a top-level operator who does not scare easy. He really held himself together in Argentina and that deserves respect.

He'll need to get off to start against GGG and stop himself from getting stalked and put in the corner where Golvokin can unload.....because there's only so many of those shots you can take from that guy. But I have an inkling that he'll do himself proud, have a few moments when he earns Golvokin's respect, but fall short on the scorecards.

Martin will last as long as any of GGGs recent opponents and his style and toughness will give him his biggest test and greatest examination of GGG's credentials.
But ultimately, I see no realistic chance of a win for martin I'm afraid.
He won't be able to break him down for the knockout and if he does go 12, it will be 12 hard bruising rounds, with Murray surviving the majority of it in a defensive posture, probably behind a high guard.
