What the heck is Manny and his crew doing this month? It's almost like they are trying to kill this fight. A deadline? You are going to give Floyd a deadline? Yeah, I'm sure that's really going to make him sign the contract. I've never seen Manny hit the publicity tour like this. I know he has a documentary out but just shut up for two more weeks Manny. Please? Floyd announces his fights every year around or on the Super Bowl date. Oscar should know this. Arum should know this. All that they need to do is sit quiet until next Sunday but they just can't do it.

Manny and his team should know this. No one is going to smoke FMJ out of his hole and make him do anything. In fact, he'll probably do the exact opposite and wait past the deadline so that they can blame Manny for stepping out on the fight. Then we can add another entry into the "who's to blame" saga. Looking for news each day about this is like watching the water boil. Half of the news reports say that we are days away from the fight being signed and half say that it is not happening. I have to think that this is Floyd trying to cause the biggest stir before announcing the deal. My guess is that it will be the day before the Super Bowl or on the day of. I hate him but he even knows how to make a fight signing an event.

I keep reading an awful lot of derogatory remarks from other forum members about Floyd Mayweather in general, which their prerogative to do so, but it does astonish me that their blind hatred compels them to ignore reality and blatantly disregard really trivial and easy to digest facts!

Let’s try and break things down to bite size chunks, shall we?

The Mayweather-Pacquiao fight “negotiations” are supposed to be conducted under a gagging order, which is the reason why Team Mayweather have disclosed minimal information to the media.

HBO & Showtime started negotiating the Mayweather-Pacquiao bout well before Christmas and we still haven’t received any official confirmation about them agreeing to terms.

According to ESPN, there is no physical contract at this point in time for anyone to sign-off, because all parties have not agreed to all terms.

Therefore, Floyd shouldn’t be discussing the contract negotiations with the media, there is no contract for him to sign at this point in time and there is no Mayweather-Pacquiao fight until HBO & Showtime have agreed terms.

Why are there so many intellectually-challenged individuals struggling to comprehend such simple concepts?

Because they're the dumb ass Pacquiao fans (Ricky, Chepaaaa aka Bnovelist, and a few others here but those are the worst and the dumbest of the dumb).
