Rios dominated the first round. Is Alvardo actually going to try and throw a punch?

Alvarado getting pummeled through two. I know Rios started fast in the other fights as well but Alvarado looks shot here.

i've been saying on here for a long time rios would come out hard in the rubber match
but this is a surprise. wait, did he quit after the 3rd or 4th? they just said 3rd and i thought
this was the 5th coming up. i predicted 5th round in the other thread for this

Alvarado and his trainer had a plan to quit after the 3rd round. After the 2nd round, his trainer said one more round and I'm stopping it.

I was getting scared for Crystina Poncher for a moment. But fortunately he did not have his gun there with him. :D

Yeah, his head's gone - if he doesn't get on track soon it's jail or worse.

That wasn't Alvarado in the ring. The corner cunningly put a realistic Alvarado mask on a heavy bag, and just left it in the ring.

I hope there's an investigation.

rios came out aggressive, coming forward, moving his hands, throwing hard, and moving
his head off to the side after getting his combinations off, usually finishing with the uppercut.
i think there is some denial going on about rios' performance, just chalking it up to alvarado
sucking. there aren't too many guys in the division who could beat rios fighting like that.
i think especially after losing the VERY tight rematch to alvarado after ko'ing him the first
fight then having him ready to go early in the 2nd and spending most of the 2nd chasing alvarado
around the ring, and then not being very effective against chaves (who would be hard for
anyone to look good against) and of course being pac's punching bag, this one rios was
definitely going to come out hard, and i have been saying that on this site since before
this rubber match was scheduled. i had rios by ko5 in that ptbf thread.
if floyd-pac gets scheduled, i honestly would like to see rios v provo on the undercard of
that and watch them beat the snot out of each other. it would be as good as provo-matthysse
that people were talking about. khan's movement would give rios problems but that last
version of rios would have a VERY good chance of putting khan's lights out. maidana might
turn into more of an ugly wrestling match, marquez would probably outbox him, porter would
problem outbox him, he would probably put up a decent challenge for brooke, he and thurman
would make for some fireworks, and that version of rios may even give guerrero a hard time.
that version of rios would be dangerous broner, who probably won't be back to welter for
a while even though he looks like he eats a large pizza for breakfast every day between fights.
bradley would be a bad style match for him but there are a lot of guys ranked by the different
belts who that version of rios would chew up and spit out.

No one in their right mind would televise an Alvarado fight again. This would be a good time to retire.
This is one of the problems with boxing

Which you may be correct and he never gets televised fight again

But I have the complete opposite opinion

The guy is a whack job, get him in the ring again and it won't be soon enough

I'd like Alvarado v. Ortiz

Sorry but causal viewers and even some diehard fans want to see these kind of fights where it's not going the distance and there's some sort of drama and fireworks

But knowing top rank, you're probably correct and that's the last we see of mike

I think it was Pac/ Bradley 2 PPV which they had 4 fights all go 12 rounds without a KD in any of them

That's what's making casual fans tune out. Give them some excitement
