How about Randy Caballero's first title defence?

Why not show Peter McDonagh (a allegedly regular) out in Malta?

Let some cracking bills in March/April that do not look to be secured up yet.

Worrying.
A lot of the international stuff is picked up closer to the date, especially the smaller stuff because they can get it cheaper if no one else has come in.

They're not going to get a show full of WBF inter continental titles in from Malta, especially if it isn't already being filled and to be honest, I'm glad, there's nothing on that bill worth watching, I'd rather see the money go towards a better show.

If I was fwank and I was feeling fed up with matchroom/sky I would really enjoy Gomez's posts. No sky = no matchroom. Perhaps in years to come we'll look back on fwank as a visionary, he led the way with his own TV channel ?

Don King had the same idea at the start of the 00s. I think Frank's timing has just been better, plus he happens to operate in a county with a higher (per capita) level of interest in the sport

I think it's likely we may be about to see Frank's end goal with a BT Sport buyout of his channel. He makes a shed load, get a cushty job in the BT food chain and doesn't really have to put up with any fighters anymore.

allegedly is far better than Sky's boxing coverage IMO.

The overall quality of boxing is better and Bunce and Lillis talking boxing tramples all over pointless posers Smith and Nelson who nothing more than an insult to boxing.

The day the Hearns and Skysports are banished from boxing will give the sport a huge lift.

x2.

Bunce, Lillis and Barry tend to be a hell of a lot more open when they talk boxing than the sky lot. They're not afraid to talk about the shennanigans and politics of the organising bodies - and explain how/why fights are taking place/not taking place. They'll remember (off the top of their heads) a boxer's record and who they fought/when they fought - and give honest opinion on how they think a fight might go. The worst it gets is Bunce being a little bit sycophantic to boxers that he's interviewing - but boxers are fickle, sensitive folk and it's probably more down to politeness and diplomacy that Bunce comes off that way sometimes. For example, there's no point in asking Deontay Wilder if the rumours about his glass chin are true - if it's just going to p*ss him off and make him refuse future interviews.

Sky on the other hand is all about flashy promos (which look polished and nice - but lack substance) , and buzzwords/sound-bites. Half the pundits tend to sit on the fence when making predictions - and they'll often hype up fights as being 50/50, when in reality they're barely 80/20 fights sometimes.

The only major sport that BT haven't got is boxing so it wouldn't be a surprise if they took over allegedly and incorporated it into their channels. It would give SKY something to think about and the days of Matchroom fighter v Latvian bin men for the Bronze interim title would be over and they would need to step up to fight the competition.

the only reason i went with talk talk was cos it had allegedly.

i wanted the footy on BT but it didnt make sense without allegedly, cos boxing is my number one sport.

sky is a rip-off and was never a consideration.

not sure what id do if BN hooked up with bt sport, guess i would let this contract run out and then switch, although ive been really happy with talk talk.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/ ... 19-billion?

BT have just bought EE for £19 billion. That's some seriously deep pockets.

They are going to sew up both hardwired and wireless broadband in the UK, and provide all media / TV to as many UK homes as possible.

They are going to ring fence the lot. I guess only Virgin stands in their way on the broadband front.

Sky Broadband is absolute crap in my area. I'm considering moving to BT when my discounts end with Sky anyway; for ease it would be nice if they could purchase B0x Nation & roll it into their overall sports package.

why would BT spend millions (with the investment put into the channel, thats what it would cost) to buy B ox N ation when its a subscription only channel with a relatively miniscule base of viewers ? If BT want boxing, they can have it. They don't need to buy a boxing channel.

It's a good point. I never got my head around why BT kept ESPN going as a brand when they acquired the ESPN channels, and existing TV rights, back in 2013.

Ready made promotion and fights, I doubt they would buy allegedly but just have the fights

The best way to do the paywizard nonsense is to pay the 12.50 into paywizard and then set a regular payment - it means you're a month in front but there's no issues.

I said it before, I really am surprised at the lack of boxing on the 'home of boxing'.

On last weeks bunce show, he seemed to slate the moaners, saying that the channel will be showing more fights than all the other channels put together. He added 'so put that in your pipe and smoke it'. I've often defended bunce on here and have never previously said a bad word about him but talking like that is out of order. The channel has shown very little boxing but it keeps taking our monthly subs. If you are having a lean period with no shows, the least you can do is be civil about it. It wasn't the subscribers who said the channel would have live shows twice a week, it was the founder.

It appears that Bnation has just secured a deal with NBC/Al Haymon. Probably thanks to BJS stepping aside and letting Quillin fight Lee for the WBO title.

If this is this the case and Bnation has access to all the up and coming NBS/Spike fights then that is great news for Bnation subscribers...

However, I am disappointed that they are showing Zou Shiming instead of the Keith Thurman (NBC) bill on March 7th! Great news that they have the April 11th NBC bill though!

Also, there is still no sign of them showing Kovalev on March 14th, Klitschko on April 25th or Alvarez on May 2nd (which is unlikely to go ahead). There is also Mayweathers fight in May.

If Bnation fail to show at least 2 of these up and coming international shows, then I will be seriously reconsidering my subscription after the Fury fight, because the domestic scene just isnt strong enough at present.

I'm giving it up after the Fury fight, just not enough domestic action to warrant paying anymore.

I wont be giving it but but understand the point. One of the reasons I got it was the 2 live fights a week promise. I appreciate that over Christmas the boxing world slows down but surely now we are up to speed.
