Who Should Retire?

Post by Tony1244 »

Jeff Lacy
Jermain Taylor
Chauncy Welliver
Danny Williams

I edited this from Meldrick to Jermain Taylor, as my mistake was correctly pointed out by "littlepug" and perhaps others.

I'm sure I missed many. Fire away...

Id say mike Alvarado. His last performance against rios was terrible. If his mind isn't in this sport its better to get out than to take beatings like that.

Same people I suggested when someone asked this a month or two ago
ReggieDiggs wrote:Anyone over 40 who's not in the top ten.

Anyone over...idk 35, 36, 37...something like that who've lost 2 outta their last 3 fights to non-top ten contenders.

Anyone who's been stopped 5 times or more in the last...five years lets say.

Anyone who's stomach is in the way of seeing their dick.

Anyone with a losing career record should have a higher criteria to get their boxing license renewed each year to get those guys outta the game quicker too.

I'd hope boxing commissions would be required to do that at some point. Denying license should be happening WAY more often than it does. Plus anyone who cares for the quality of the sport should be pro retirement for guys who suck or keep getting beat the f#ck up. Competitiveness is important to any sports success & we got too many human sacrifices in professional boxing.

i thought steve collins was going to do it on one of his son's cards a while back.
one of these days they will show up on fight night and both of their opponents will
have pulled out of the fights at the last minute and the promoter will be like,
"hey, you guys are about the same weight..."
