Best Boxers Record in world title fights

Post by Aaronide_ger »

Hello guys I created a list which is not completed yet and I need your help. The list consists of the best boxers that competed in World title fights. (WBA,WBC,WBO,IBF. interim titles do not count)

Pt System: Win=3 Pts (KO=+1 Pt) , Draw=0 Pts , Lose= - 3 Pts (KO= -1 pt) (WIN-LOSE-DRAW)

**If 2 boxers tie in pts then the one with the most wins will be placed ahead of the other, if they have the same number of wins then the one with the least losses will be placed ahead of the other and if the have the same number of losses then the one with the least Draws will be placed ahead of the other, If they have the same numvber of draws then the one the with most KOs will be placed ahead of the winner

**In the HIGHEST KO% if a boxer that has a same % with another one he will be ranked higher IF he has more KOs.

**This list is just a ranking that shows which boxer had the most success in world title fights, dont take it seriously as there might be boxers with less pts that are better than others with less pts.

I'm almost positive you got some form of OCD bruh.

I don't think anyone on that list gets to 100pts tbh.

Also how are you missing Julio Cesar Chavez? I think he'd be the #1 guy if you are just looking at modern era cats.

I'm going to assume this list only includes 1980's-present. Ricardo Lopez, Narvaez, Wonjongkam, Huck, Nelson and Toney are some guys you can add who had a lot of title fights.

And yea, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). Not suggesting you stole this info. Obviously you created your own ranking/pts system. Nothing wrong with that I'm a lil (ie a lot) OCD myself.

Carl Froch 10-2 (5 KOs) = 29pts
Mikkel Kessler 10-3 (7 KOs) = 28pts
Takashi Uchiyama 9-0-1 (8 KOs) = 35pts
Veeraphol Sahaprom 14-3(2)-2 (6 KOs) = 40pts
Chris Eubank 17-5(1)-2 (5 KOs) = 46pts
Aaron Pryor 11-0 (9 KOs) = 42pts

Some of the ones worth adding off the top of my head.

Is Alexis Arguello recent enough? If so he is: 19-3(2) (16 KOs) = 65pts

(You might need to double check some of them)

I'm erring towards thinking that Wlad and Floyd just miss out one way or another though both could be close.

shane mosely 15-7 in major title fights with an interim win as well i think.
i think azuma nelson was 18-4-2.
i don't trust the counts in my head scanning quickly down the records so i could be off by one or two.

Wlad is the most likely imho, but I think he'll come up short too. Basically all Wlad would have to do is KO the next 5 guys. And with these HW's today & Wlad's typical schedule seems completely doable within the next 24-30 months. Not retiring & avoiding a L are questionable though as Wlad is older & I still contend his chin will catch up with him one more time before he's done.

chris john was 17-1-1 i think
and virgil hill must have had well over 20 title fights, maybe 30?
and gianfranco rossi won like 15 of 17 major title fights.
we were talking about mccallum in another thread. i think 14-2-1?
donald curry was 9-5, with almost all of those not going the distance

Both Tszyu and Vitali are CORRECT. they both had 14 and 15 world title wins..

Interim belts dont count.. tell me where u found those 2 extra wins for vitali and Tszyu.

ALSO vitali has an overall record of 45 Wins (41KOs) with your numbers he should have had les KO%

EDIT: Moreover all of these boxer's records Arthur Abraham,Vic Darchinyan,Nonito Donaire u posted them wrong and i made the corrections

The fighters who are able to do reach 100 points for me would be

Wladimir K (as he is pretty near).
Gennady Golovkin.

Plus also ( in time)
Roman Gonzalez
Naoya Inoue
Terrace Crawford
Vasyl Lomanchenko.

Are the stands out

GGG turns 33 in April & needs to win 13 more fights at least (ie about 4 years worth of fights at his current pace, maybe 6 years if he slows down to twice a year). I think he's too old to make it happen. He should get up there though. I think he easily gots another couple years, lets say 6, 7 fights, before guys start figuring him out, he starts slowing down a bit & maybe losing a fight. And I'd hope GGG isn't trying to box into his 40's.
