Froch

Post by hurricanemitch14 »

Froch ducking BHop cuz he's not sure he would win and it would look bad if he were to lose and damage his legacy......my question is what legacy?????? His legacy is he was willing to fight anybody, anywhere......he's pulling a Calzaghe and trying to fight a gimme final fight and run off talking about how great he was. He refuses to fight GGG, Kovalev and BHop but is dead set on fighting Chavez who is a fornicating joke!!!!! Anybody saying different is retarded.

I've been a Froch fan for a long ass time and the shit he's pulling now is BS......theres a thread on here about fighters who need to retire well Froch needs to be on the top of the list, lost his heart and desire to fight the best.

If he was faded like say Morales or RJJ and could only beat a certain level of fighter then ok but he's the number 2 guy in the division.

FFS.

A fighter proves time and again his willingness to travel and fight the best around and decides he wants a payday before he retires and you come out with this bull shit? Pathetic.

No wonder most fighters don't do what Carl did, what's the point when he doesn't even get respect off fans for it?

Total BS post there..........he wants a pushover and a big payday and he wants us the "Fans" to pay for it. He wants us to fill Vegas or a stadium and fight Chavez who will win 0 fornicating rds and we're expected to pay good money to see that shit??????? he wants to fight Chavez in a farewell fight then he needs to get paid decent and fight in his back yard.

Which is what practically every other fighter does, why shouldn't he want a payday anyway? I doubt he's earned anything near what he should have done for the fights he's taken.

what should he have been paid????? he was shut out in his fight against Ward.......his 2 fights with Kessler r his paydays. He would get a big paydays against BHop, thats a fact!!!!! But BHop isn't a gimme fight like Chavez.

Froch/BHop is a 50/50..........i'm not even crying about Froch not fighting a young lion like Kovalev, I'm talking about him fighting a 50 yr old BHop.

1 Chavez doesn't come in fit
2. Chavez looks like dog shit at 168

Disgraceful fight.......I don't know I expected more outta of Froch is all. I'm ok with a dude getting out when he see fit like Froch is doing but he's acting like he's a shot fighter and he isn't.

The duck fans can't even decide who Carl is sh!tting his pants over. Bhop or James whats his face.

If fans just grew the f#ck up & entered boxing reality they'd see this is a job. Its not some noble & mythical journey of ring battles. Its the getting hit in the head business & its an unforgiving business. If you took a job in a cubicle getting $10 an hour vs another job you were offered in a cubicle right next to the $10 an hour cubicle doing the exact same sh!t for $30 an hour I'd say you were retarded. Thats basically what this breaks down to.

Having said that Carl has paid his dues & than some. If he wants to fight some guy in a Ronald McDonald outfit I can't say I'd watch it, well maybe for novelty purposes, but he can fight that type of guy in my eyes for what he's done. And tbqh I'd rather see Carl fight Julio Jr than boring Bhop or James whats his face.

He wants paid big bucks......hows he gonna get paid if we the fans don't by tickets, sit our asses in front of the tv.

Bruh. Honestly? I don't think its even arguable that Froch vs Chavez will get more asses in seats & the gate will be bigger than Froch vs Bhop or Froch vs James whatever his name is.

This thread doesn't even make sense to me. I'm thinking I mighta got trolled

Trolled???

Im bitching about an elite fighter not willing to fight another elite and im trolling. Been on this forum since the early 2000's never been called a troll.

Froch cant be making a whole lot more fighting chavez instead of bhop. Chavez isnt hot product anymore.

Views like urs I guess im cool with Mayweather not fighting pacman..... I mean hes paid his due and has a 10 time better resume and is the same age if not older than froch.

Im sold im pro mayweathet vs khan artist and I cant wait to see froch shut out fatass chavez.

I think once Julio fights he'll be as hot or hotter. It don't really matter though. Fans LOVE Chavez Jr. He got owned for 11 & 1/2 rounds vs Sergio, but when he dropped Sergio in that last round that was one of the biggest fan noise moments I've ever heard in boxing while watching a live figth. The fans will eat up anything Chavez related. The Mexican fans are the most loyal fan base in boxing today. And Chavez Jr is about as deep as you can go into the Mexican boxing history well. Rightly or wrongly he's popular as hell.

And cmon man, Bhop  He's a great Paul Bunyan type boxing story in 15-20 years to tell your kids or grandkids about, but he's not the most exciting guy, he doesn't usually get the fans screaming & yelling, he's old as hell. Basically Carl vs Bhop is a scientific fight while Froch vs Chavez is more rock em sock em robots-ish. Give me Carl in a rock em sock em fight all day over a battle of jabs, holding & I'm sleepy.

I think you are in the distinct minority here with wanting to see Bhop over Chavez as Carl's opponent. Put up a poll or something. I'd be curious myself to see what people think.

meh.

I seriously doubt Froch is worried about the 50-year-old Hopkins or James nobody who got beat by somebody Carl already KO'd.
While Chavez would be a massive underdog it would almost certainly be an entertaining fight while it lasted.

Froch is getting a lot of flak for wanting to fight JCCjr simply due to the high standard he has set for himself.
We're used to seeing Froch fight the best available and always giving us good fights.

Not sure how I feel about your overall point, but I think you're right the Chavez fight won't be huge money for Froch. He's easily the B side in the US. Supposedly he made 10m pounds for Groves 2. Hed be lucky to get third of that for Chavez

Froch is effectively a retired fighter. If he wants to have a celebrity boxing match to bow out of the sport it is his busyness, it does not affect his legacy in a slightest. He had a great carrier and fought the better opposition then 90% of top boxers out there. Its sad to see a cockless little idiot on the net throw a tantrum and call Froch a coward because he doesn't choose to end his carrier way someone wants it. GTFO

I've a feeling Froch is going to retire. Sure, it wasn't the original plan but things aren't happening for him now in terms of agreeing the next fight. This Chavez saga is second only to Mayweather-Pacquiao in its boringness.

He is 100% right, BHOP is not a fight worth taking, it will leave no lasting impression.

Chavez isn't perhaps the fight that we would all like to see, but he is a younger fighter with a Global following, and will draw good PPV numbers. If the Cobra was still around in two years time, then perhaps a fight with GGG might happen, but he isn't quite in the position to be ready to step up to SMW in time to face Carl.

Froch became friends with Pascal after they fought and they personally agreed to a rematch. I think if Pascal beats Kovalev, then Pascal vs Froch will happen. Not sure if Vegas would be the most lucrative place to have that fight.

I've mentioned it before but I'm sure Froch had a pop at Calzaghe for riding off into the sunset to fight 'over the hill' fighters in the U.S rather than face him.
So to fight BHOP 7-8 years later than Joe would be the ultimate hypocritical step :shame:

Here's the problem with the logic I'm hearing.

Froch isn't getting Chavez Jr anytime soon.
Froch isn't fighting anyone better than Hopkins.

So regardless of his past, regardless of what his reasons are, Froch is ducking the BEST AVAILABLE opponent.

Froch wants a big pay check to finish with and Chavez is it, I don't see a problem with that at all.
He's more than earned a nice pay off.
He's already stated that Ward would probably win on points in a snore fest so that leaves no-one anyway.
