The stupidity of Amir Kahn and boxing fans

Post by Chepppaaa »

I cant believe how stupid some people are....."amir could end up p4p #1 if he beat cotto and winner of mayweather-pacquiao"

like if there was any possibility....

lets put this straight. amir has always been a shit talker, he thinks he deserves this and that and thinks how great he is,
when basicly he has done nothing in his whole shit career. for him to act up like he does is ridicoulus and for some
non boxing experts to blablabla what he says is even more ridicoulus.

the dude got kod in the 1 round by a nobody like preiscett, okay he was young and green, i get that, but it is not like
he improved like pac did. also, than he had a loss against maidana (i dont count robbery wins), a loss against peterson and garcia.

even a super old erik morlaes could handle danny and amir gets put to sleep in 4, but yet some idiot think he could possibly win
against a powerhouse at 154 vs cotto or a strong puncher like pac

beating an feather fisted mallignaggi or an old crack head like judah or having ud's against nobodys like collazo and alexander is
nothing special, but yet oscar is hyping amir like amir rescently beat provodnikov or thurman, real dangerous strong guys.

but as you know, i dont only go by record, but more by skills and athletic ability. so is amir athletic, yes he is. is he powerful, no he is not,
is he fast, yes he is. but what does all this matter when you cant take a punch and dont have the technical ability not to get hit?

easiest one if not the most overrated boxer right now and oscar acting like amir is the best boxer in the world aside from money and pac,
like oscar forgot that compared to thurman or canelo, light danny is feather fisted compared to those guys, yet completly decked amir,
but amir is gonne destroy 147 division and be a threat to 154, please, stop dreaming guys.

Is it possible for him to beat pac, floyd or cotto ? Of course it is this is boxing anything can happen and quite often does, what exactly do you want khan to do ? not go for the big fights ? not believe in himself ? not promote himself ? Give the guy a break hes a quality fighter with good skills, great speed and a shaky chin and thats it. So youre not impressed with his resume? well it stands up quite well against alot of the other world class fighters operating today IMO.

"it is boxing anything can happen"...............this is by far one of the dumbest sentences i have ever heard. like saying timothy bradley can beat marco huck, it s boxing anything can happen. no, it cant, not in a million years.

he is 0 humble and arrogant prick. i dont like him. there is a difference between promoting you with class and being a dick. he is last.

I think there's quite a few 147lbers who can move up and beat cotto

Said it for years. The guy is done

He beats and old man with no knees and now he's unbeatable?

Not only is there 147lbers who can beat cotto. There's also a few 154-160 who would absolutely demolish Miguel

SO ? Did it not entertain you ? Fighters win and lose cant we just be fans of the sport rather than tearing to pieces the men who box for our entertainment ? Let them have their careers then judge them when its all over.

Im not talking about Khan specifically but why is it on CS,anyone who suffers a loss must be shite?

Its high level boxing, everyone gets beat usually, can't a fighter learn and move on and improve?

No wonder CS is down the shitter ,there's still some good posters here but jeez

Horrible thread, khan is top notch. He has flaws like everyone but my word does the guy entertain at his own expense. It amazes me sometimes how people talk about top quality boxers that fight in 50/50s and put on numerous great fights.

I'd watch khan fight every week if he was on.

well said mate, it seems theres too many on here waving a flag for just one or two specific fighters and not for the sport as a whole, im sure these fanboys would be better suited to following football (soccer) as they too have a small minded attitude towards their sport, its this type of fan you get at live shows taking the piss outta journeymen which is why i dont go anymore.

I'm surprised Amir easily beat Devon tbh (& Luis tbh again, Luis has lost a few, but he don't usually lose like he did to Amir). After doing f#ck all for 2yrs post-the Danny KO L, I thought it was curtains for Amir's career.

I do think people are getting a lil over excited about Amir these days all the same. The thing people keep forgetting is Amir's problem has never been lack of talent its been a not so great ability to take punches.

And its worth noting the two 147lb W's he's gotten were over cats with around a 50% KO percentage. Meanwhile Cotto has stopped 32 guys in his 39 W's including stoppages in 8 of his last 9 W's, 5 of which were over guys bigger than Amir has ever been & 4 of those 5 having been stopped less than Amir has. Plus the assumption would be this fight would take place at at least 155lbs, 8lbs higher than Amir has ever fought & 15lbs higher than he had fought just two fights ago.

Having said that I see only a small chance of this going down, but if it did & Amir pulled off a easy W I'd be shocked & I'd be impressed if he could just garner the W.

bradley as an welterweight beats huck as an cruiserweight, its boxing anything can happen.....you realise now the stupidity of that "anything can happen sentence" ?

no, not even at same weight anything can happen, its like saying paulie malgniggai could beat hearns at welterweight. no he cant, not in a million years that could happen. they go 100 times in a ring and 100 times hearns would brutaly crush paulie. even if hearns closed his eyes for one minute straight paulie would not be able to hurt hearns.

stop with that anything can happen bullshit. its like saying, i myself train for 2 years boxing and become pro and all of the sudden i can beat golovkin because we do have same weight and height and anything can happen....bullcrap. i would get badly hurt within 10 secondes.

anybody losses. it is just how stupid people and the boxer himself than afterwards switches things like he is on top of the world, just because beat a nobody like alexander to a 12 round ud.

he is an arrogant arse. i just kind stand him and his way of downsizing others. like in that brook kahn interview, were brook never provoked brook and all of the sudden kahn says "remember when i schooled you in sparring." just arrogant shiaster......you lose against an limited peterson and danny and just because of some wins against b level boxers you think you can beat pac, floyd and brook, just stupid.

Khan is a lot better than a lot of people are talking. I don't think he's p4p #1 material, but he is absolutely a top tier fighter. In my opinion, if he had rematches with Prescott and Garcia, he would take the W in those. He was entirely too aggressive in the Garcia bout and was begging to get tagged. I know the Garcia fans will jump on me for this, but I truly believe papa Garcia did a great job of getting under Amir's skin.

I honestly believe that Khan would be competitive against Miguel Cotto. For sure, the Puerto Rican deserves to be the betting favourite, but Amir’s style will pose some problems.

Miguel should beat Khan, but it wouldn’t be considered a huge upset if the Brit defies the odds and emerges victorious.

If Amir then met the winner of the Mayweather-Pacquiao bout (assuming it takes place), he will be facing a veteran that is likely to be much smaller and older than himself, who hasn’t scored a legitimate knockout in more than five years. Khan’s main weakness is his chin…

I honestly don’t believe that Amir Khan can make the grade and become the pound-for-pound number one, but the three men who stand in his way are veterans that are past their respective primes, which means that anything is possible.

so you answered your questions yourself, well done.

you dont become p4p king by beaten old timers. lets say he beats the guys you named, i am talking fantasy, because unless for you for me it is 0,0 possibility.

so lets say he beats old cotto, old pac or old money. than why should he be p4p #1, because he beat past prime guys?

you become p4p #1 when you are the best and not the man with the best names on your record, it is a combination of both, but more importantly is atheltic ability and skills, than beating past prime opponents.

154 top dogs are lara and canelo
147 top dogs depends on the age factor of money and pac, if they become slower weaker in future time and certain names who enter prime and looking stunningly athletic or powerful
I am talking about extrem powerful thurman and very athletic sound boxer brook, who will be #1 and #2 at welterweight depending how pac and floyd age.

so, if you wanna be p4p king you have to beat the best or be the best.

what i mean by this is either you beat not past prime fighters, but prime guys like lara and brook or you are so good that there is no contest that you aren't #1 like exceptional talents like roy. he was #1 in his first fight stepping into the ring because he just looked like class above anybody. kahn is nothing in comparison, he would not last 12 rounds vs thurman because if weaker danny can wreck him, than big thurman would easily. he cant outtechnic brook and kahn certainly isnt nearly as skilled and athletic and sound as prime lara.

ggg
lara/ canelo
brook/ thurman

this is the mix of possible new p4p #1, kahn can't hang with any of those guys, he got speed, but thats all, his power cant even impress devon hahaah......how is he gonne than impress one of those guys listed with his piddy paddy punches. they gonne walk through him like a train.

I consider Khan a B+ fighter.He has incredible skill and speed.But a crap chin and a
over inflated ego.The guy can give anyone a tough go but against the Pacquiao's and Mayweather's
he doesn't belong.
It is just my opinion. But I do see Cotto stopping Khan in about 8 rounds.

Khan doesn't have the power to keep MC at bay, once Miguel cuts the ring off (something Collazo couldn't do) then it is over; he has to slug it out against Cotto who hits harder than him and Khan doesn't have a beard.

Anyone who thinks this fight is mildly competitive hasn't seen how effectively Cotto cuts off the ring, if Collazo was able to make Khan fight the outcome of their match would've been different, Cotto will finish the job.
