should Floyd Mayweather be allowed in to Australia?
Re: should Floyd Mayweather be allowed in to Australia?
They are all the SAME crime! People assault other people for different reasons. But we live in a very sexist, feminist driven country, that indirectly tells people that the only time assault is a huge problem, is when it's a man on a woman! When indeed more men assault men, then men assault women. Yet, the feminist regime we live in seems to neglect that FACT!
The fact is they are two very different crimes. especially if the male is in a relationship with the female.
Tyson was let in, so Floyd should be...all things being equal.

Re: should Floyd Mayweather be allowed in to Australia?
Things seem to have gone quiet on whether Mayweather will be allowed to visit or not. Anyone heard confirmation either way?
Re: should Floyd Mayweather be allowed in to Australia?
It doesn't make a difference as to whether a man is in a relationship with a woman or not! Have a look at every ACA (or other agenda driven programs) that report on all-in brawls. There are often innocent men - just trying to defend themselves or in fetal position on the ground - having the living daylights beaten out of them by more then one coward. Yet, if a woman jumps in to punch on, and has so much as a hand laid on her because she's trying to mix it with the blokes or defend her partner. Who do the media put the "sorrow" empaphis on? The unconsious guy on the ground that could possibly die? Or the woman?... Of course it's the woman!amwsnw wrote:They are all the SAME crime! People assault other people for different reasons. Appears his visitation (along with at least 30 others in his travelling party) has been postposed until further notice.

There has been a subsequent development and Floyd Mayweather has been blocked from entering the country over his history of violence towards women, ending plans for a two-day promotional tour due to begin on Thursday.
More about the imbroglio and it's consequences can be read in the link below:

Sorry, I thought you said they were the same crime, when they clearly are not. I must have misunderstood your original post.Lairdy wrote:It doesn't make a difference as to whether a man is in a relationship with a woman or not! I think you'll find 'amwsnw' said they were 2 different crimes...
Re: should Floyd Mayweather be allowed in to Australia?
It took a fornicate load of years for Tyson to eventually be granted a visa, Mayweather held a gun to his girlfriend's head, in front of their child, the U.S. have even more strict entry restrictions so screw Mayweather, the illiterate, stammering goose, asking drug money to be in the same room as him (the general I.Q. of the room will drop dramatically when he enters, every time!) and amswsnw is a sound boxing fan, quite a few on here have had the pleasure of sharing an ale or two with him, including top fighters and officials.Lairdy wrote:I think you'll find 'amwsnw' said they were 2 different crimes...
Your pretty new on here, a brash smart arse on a dying boxing forum trying to run down a couple of decent posters, yet your posts don't have much substance at all...........

Floyd is a convicted nutter. We got enough of them here already without him coming.dberry wrote:It took a eff load of years for Tyson to eventually be granted a visa, Mayweather held a gun to his girlfriend's head, in front of their child, the U.S. have even more strict entry restrictions so screw Mayweather, the illiterate, stammering goose, asking drug money to be in the same room as him (the general I.Q. of the room will drop dramatically when he enters, every time!) and amswsnw is a sound boxing fan, quite a few on here have had the pleasure of sharing an ale or two with him, including top fighters and officials.Lairdy wrote:I think you'll find 'amwsnw' said they were 2 different crimes...

You're very naive for an old man Dale... Do you believe everything you read in the papers and see on the news?... He may be a bit of a nutter, but I like the guy as a boxer, like everyone else that wants to see him! Get a grip!dberry wrote:It took a eff load of years for Tyson to eventually be granted a visa, Mayweather held a gun to his girlfriend's head, in front of their child, the U.S. have even more strict entry restrictions so screw Mayweather, the illiterate, stammering goose, asking drug money to be in the same room as him (the general I.Q. of the room will drop dramatically when he enters, every time!) and amswsnw is a sound boxing fan, quite a few on here have had the pleasure of sharing an ale or two with him, including top fighters and officials.Lairdy wrote:I think you'll find 'amwsnw' said they were 2 different crimes...

Re: should Floyd Mayweather be allowed in to Australia?
I wouldn't cross the street to see Mayweather. He is a terrible role model and had nothing to offer Australia. It's not like he'll ever fight here either
Re: should Floyd Mayweather be allowed in to Australia?
I wasn't going to go see him anyway. Too busy at work. It would be good to be in the same room with him but. Then I could say I've met Mike Tyson, Mohamed Ali, and been in the same room as Mundine, and Mayweather...
Re: should Floyd Mayweather be allowed in to Australia?
But you are right Dale. Rules are rules. And the government can't bend them for everyone.

What has Mayweather even done for Australia? Or ever likely to? Zip.magwitch wrote:it's one rule for one....
Now ask yourself the same question about Paul Hogan.
Re: should Floyd Mayweather be allowed in to Australia?
Tyson's been let in with amongst other things, a rape conviction. So why not Mayweather?
Re: should Floyd Mayweather be allowed in to Australia?
The government is jealous, mayweather has more money than they do
Re: should Floyd Mayweather be allowed in to Australia?
It took Tyson (or Fenech) ten years or more to get a visa.bollox wrote:Tyson's been let in with amongst other things, a rape conviction. So why not Mayweather?
Re: should Floyd Mayweather be allowed in to Australia?
It all seems to depend on who and what you are doesn't it? Boxers don't seem to be on top of people's popularity lists when visas are being discussed
