Good fighter, very fast hands, will go far depending if he can survive his big first test on the chin, important for all heavyweights. Then we will be able to assess his true potential.

Nascimiento inside two rounds - bloody good win that, impressive. :TU:

Another of Dillian's selling points, aside from the Joshua amateur win is that he's a regular at Klitschko camp and has sparred both brothers.

His work ethic is good and even if his skills need some development (even he himself admits this), there is no doubting that he can fight.

I think he success will depend on who guides him managerially once he begins fighting for titles.

He looked very 'deliberate' in his work. Nascimiento also looked like a middleweight with a high chin. Whilst it's a good sell, pr wise, I believe Joshua would smash him now. When they were amateurs, Josh had very little experience. Whyte had plenty of kickboxing experience and was too seasoned.

I would have Josh a 6-1 fav in this fight

I would have Joshua as favourite right now, but if Whyte can get a bit of momentum and in-ring experience under his belt then that might change.

He definitely is a more down to earth alternative to Joshua's boring PR hyped instagram/twitter inspiring slogan of the day bulls**t persona.

Anthony Joshua has been very carefully matched with past it names and journeymen the average age has been over 40 and he has fought no one in the top 60 yet is ranked 8 by the WBC and top 15 by WBA . He's existing in a Matchroom hype bubble and it will soon burst once someone puts it on him.

I feel that Dillian Whyte has much more potential and would win the rematch by KO.

Yes, but from right off the bat you have been bigging up Dillian massively so I'm not really surprised you think that!

You don't get handed World Championship silver medals. I'm sure Lewis Hamilton lost a few go kart races back when he was starting out, I'm not so sure those that beat him back then would jump straight in a Ferrari formula one motor now and whip him!

Go Karting is exactly like boxing lol your obsession with Anthony Joshua clouds your judgement.

The fact remains Dillian Whyte has already knocked down and beaten AJ and will do so again - stop getting caught up in the hype.

I like them both. I just rate Joshua higher. You know as well as anyone the situation regarding their am fight and Whyte's amateur career in general.

I like Whyte though, he seems a top fella. I hope he makes a wave and gets the chance to prove that their am fight wasn't a novice in with someone he probably shouldn't have been in with. He has a real future, hopefully he keeps busy

Didn't look too hot against McDermott in sparring. Handled easily, in fact.

That was 2 years ago, mind.

We are talking about John McDermott here the only thing he has handled recently is the fridge.

They were meant to fight over 2 years ago so I think you're telling porkies where did this session happen?

I reckon he could go quite far in today's H/W division ...

After all Deontay Wilder is a World Champ.

His height may count againts him (is he aboyt 6'3) which is going to mean to the big capable guys like Fury, Wilder, Wlad, Hughie Fury, Joshua etc should have his number.

But he could well be a more dangerous Dereck Chisora - which is no bad accolade at all.

I'd fancy him to KO David Price atm for what it's worth.

Yep. I mean Wilder is very athletic, tall and rangy, is improving and hits like a mule. But let’s keep it real; his technique for a world class fighter is terrible, especially when he opens up. He most likely would have been found out by one of the many good contenders of the 90’s. Once Wladimir retires the division will become even more wide open and if a guy like Whyte can keep winning and improving, he stands to make some serious coin. As Wilder demonstrates, being in shape and being able to punch takes you an awful long way in today’s heavyweight division.

Wilder isn't in Ray Mercer's league. Shows how far the heavyweight division has slipped.

Dillian Whyte looks like a very handy prospect to me

Apologies. Come to think of it, it was more like 3 years ago. It was shortly before McDermott fought Price. It took place in your mum's bedroom.

Sorry I shouldn't of replied to you I had no idea how deluded and mentally ill (not mocking) you are.

I looked up some of your previous comments about John McDermott you claim he bashed up Povetkin in sparring , you claim he's always fit and in good shape for fights, you claimed McDermott would give Price a hard fight etc etc however there's your version of reality and then actual reality John McDermott weighed in at 20 odd stone and got knocked out in 1 round by David Price.....

Your point being what? He was 18 1/2 stone on the day and got caught by a brilliant shot by a massive puncher after suffering from his usual nerves in the locker room. You need to stop making up what you don't know.

I can concur, Mcdermott did bash up Povetkin in sparring. I never saw the DW sparring but was around that camp so imagine it did happen and can believe 3 years ago DW was probably schooled.

I have no time for John McDermott as he never fights. he should be stripped of his English title and an active fighter like Dillian Whyte should fight for it.
