Baff vs Lebedev for WBA title?

Rumour doing the rounds. I hope for Baff's sake it is wrong.

By all reports it's on. Daniel Baff is up against it but to get a world title shot is very good management. Jeff Harding was up against it but he pulled off the upset. Not saying that Baff is anything like Harding, but sometimes in this game the unexpected happens. Wish him all the best.

I like the sentiment. But how many Jeff Hardings have we produced? Hard to see this ending well I'm afraid.

I've read several reports that Lebedev is facing Youri Kalenga in March in what seems like a much more evenly-matched fight. Where is the news about Baff coming from?

Sometimes the unexpected happens, but in cases like this far more often than not the fighter in Lebedev's situation wins convincingly. Judging by Baff's record and the brief footage I've seen of him I suspect that he'd be quickly stopped if he fought Lebedev.

Not even sure Baff is fighting Lebedev. No official mention anywhere.

As I said he is up against it but sometimes in this game the unexpected happens. I wish him well cause he will need it.

It's all over FB from Danny Baff himself and Brian Armatruda who has arranged the fight for Baff.

With Baff's last four opponents all having negative win/loss ratios, why not put him in with Caparrello first to see how he goes.

Yep would be a good fight. But you can't really knock him for having a crack when offered a fight for a world title. Opportunities like that don't come up to often.

Thoughts on this http://thaboxingvoice.com/denis-lebedev ... 130?var=no ?

Why are so many sources reporting that Lebedev is fighting Kalenga next? Is Baff saying that he's fighting Lebedev after the later faces Kalenga?

Yes just heard he has mandatory on 4th of April and then he can have a voluntary 8 weeks later. They must be pushing for that one.
