Twitter: Mayweather vs Pacquiao, done deal
Twitter is blowing up with leaks that Mayweather vs Pacquiao is good to go & Floyd will be making the official announcement within a couple days.
Also seeing rumors that supposedly there is a rematch clause, but only if Floyd were to lose.
The Telegraph seems to be the most reputable source throwing this out currently & I guess you UK guys can tell me how bs they are or aren't.

Two days before the world has to stop rotating then. ![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)
The Telegraph is a quality newspaper, so I doubt theyd be peddling BS.

They might not be peddling BS, but if Pac has signed the contract and Floyd is "set to sign it" it's not a done deal and there's no reason to believe anything until an official announcement is made.

The Telegraph is a quality newspaper in general, but its boxing coverage is virtually non-existent, not even sure it has a full-time boxing correspondent, so idk how reliable it will be on this one. But obviously hoping they have it right.

This fight, in a sense, transcends boxing.Boxerbeetle wrote:The Telegraph is a quality newspaper in general, but its boxing coverage is virtually non-existent, not even sure it has a full-time boxing correspondent, so idk how reliable it will be on this one. But obviously hoping they have it right.

It does, but I'm still not sure where a newspaper that doesn't really cover boxing is getting it's info from. It sure as hell won't have a source inside either camp.Impractical Poster wrote:This fight, in a sense, transcends boxing.Boxerbeetle wrote:The Telegraph is a quality newspaper in general, but its boxing coverage is virtually non-existent, not even sure it has a full-time boxing correspondent, so idk how reliable it will be on this one. Re: Twitter: Mayweather vs Pacquiao, done deal
I think it'll happen, all the signs appear to be there.
It strikes me as all this publicity is just part and parcel of promoting the fight, I expect an announcement very soon.

How many times have we heard this already. From reliable sources. Wake me up when or a big if it happens...

Yea agree. I've been seeing a bunch of boxing Youtube regs suggesting the fight will be announced anytime now too. I can definitely understand many fans "boy who cried wolf" type stance on this (hell I was that guy til Dec.), but I think this is a go.Evander wrote:I think it'll happen, all the signs appear to be there.

It sure looks like it Reggie, my guess is that either way we'll have an answer inside the next week.ReggieDiggs wrote:Yea agree. Hasn't this fight been "off-and-on" imminent since 2010?

It has to happen now. Everything is lined up. As much as Floyd tried to get off the hook, it's impossible for him now. They killed Floyd-Cotto 2 with Canelo-Kirkland. They forced Haymon's hand by threatening to deny him any future Showtime dates. They agreed to Floyd's May 2 bluff date. They agreed to ALL of Floyd's demands. Pac faced off with Floyd in Miami. Pac continued to pressure Floyd by taunting and challenging him in the media.
Floyd has no other option. It's almost like Divine Powers have played a factor.

Somehow I have the feeling that Mayweather isn't the type of guy that's going to feel pressured by anything or anyone.
Pac's amateurish taunts are like shooting spit wads at a battleship.
Mayweather doesn't need more fame and he doesn't really need the money.
Nobody tells this guy what to do.
He couldn't care less about public opinion.

No, he's just being himself, dude is like 13 years old and despite all the information out there that shows that Manny has been the one ducking this fight he will still go on and on spouting the same nonsense.Dennis wrote:I hope you are being facetious.montrealsuper wrote:It has to happen now. DUCK #2 http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1449 ... uper-fight
Even Freddie Roach admits Manny Pacquiao DUCKED out of this fight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUs8yAS_qTs
Every honest news source sites Manny Pacquiao and his refusal to do the testing as DUCKING

Now let's fast forward to today, I just hope they have reached an agreement because back in 2010 Floyd agreed to all of Manny's demands, even the ridiculous 10 million dollar penalty per pound over the weight limit but the one issue that Pacquiao refused to agree on was the testing and that killed the fight but now Manny has no excuses.
Pacquiao needs the money more than anything else and since he has made all of his opponents test then he has to not cry about being afraid of needles this time around and do what he has demanded others do that faced him.
The only way Manny can DUCK again this time is if he claims he got injured in sparring, like another one of those cuts that takes 6 months to heal.

This is amazing. Its so evident that its gayfeather thats been running for years here, and still youre grasping at straws, going way out of your way to try and desperately prove otherwise. Its toecrumbeling behavior, actually matching your idols. That really takes something.
Re: Twitter: Mayweather vs Pacquiao, done deal
It appears that you have no facts and cannot stomach that everything there is the truth, go and do your own research but I suspect with the sheer stupidity of you using little girlie name calling like "gayfeather" and whatnot shows us that you have nothing but your HATRED to back up your claim that Floyd has been ducking.Butterbean wrote:This is amazing. Re: Twitter: Mayweather vs Pacquiao, done deal
Butterbean is like many people that will blame Floyd 100% no matter what facts are laid out in plain sight. Him saying "It's so evident" tells us all it is not. I will wait and see if he counters any claims with facts himself, or just goes away, feeling satisfied he has spoken for his idol. I personally feel no one person is free from blame, but Floyd has been the one that has reached out to make the fight more than once, and has never left anyone at the table. Team Pac cannot say that.KBB wrote:It appears that you have no facts and cannot stomach that everything there is the truth, go and do your own research but I suspect with the sheer stupidity of you using little girlie name calling like "gayfeather" and whatnot shows us that you have nothing but your HATRED to back up your claim that Floyd has been ducking.Butterbean wrote:This is amazing. Re: Twitter: Mayweather vs Pacquiao, done deal
Floyd almost lied the fight to death. Now Pac has arisen from the ashes and his back knocking on the door. And still Floyd tried like hell to duck the fight with all his demands and May 2 and his phony publicity stunts saying he wants the fight but saying it with zero conviction in his voice. Only a dolt can't see through Floyd's deception.
But here we are, Pac and Arum have agreed to EVERY THING. Yet Floyd and Haymon tried to fight Cotto again. LOL. But Pac and Arum would not walk away. The powers took away Floyd vs. Cotto with Canelo vs. Kirkland on free HBO.
Now Floyd is completely cornered. Showtime is withholding all it's dates from Haymon until he delivers Floyd.
There's no way Floyd can hide now from the $200m payday, and take $32m for Cotto.
It's over for Floyd. He ran and dodged and hid for six years but it's over for him.

So the truth comes from fans, peers and random "internet-proof" ?
God damn, kid, either youre really screwed or skilled troll.
And btw. I aint no fan of pac. Think ive seen maybe 5 fights with him. Thats it. And i actually gives a rats ass about him. The reason i medlle in this is plain and simple down to the behavior of mayweather and a big portion of his fans. It puzzles me and pisses me of that the all the bullshit him and his fans are bringing to the sport i love, is allowed and tolerated. Thats really it.
